Maudie POV

I was brushing my teeth in the bathroom.

Someone knocked the door.

"Maudie, are you in there?" Ezra asked.

I took the toothbrush off my mouth.

"Yeth." I said.

"Can i come in?" Ezra asked.

"Yeth." I said.

Ezra opened the door.

"Brushing your teeth?" Ezra asked as he went in.

I faced him and nodded.

I spit out the remnants of toothpaste and saliva from my mouth and rinsed it with water.

I wiped my mouth and turned to Ezra.

Who was staring at me.

"Hey Ez." I said.

"Sorry, just nervous about tomorrow." Ezra said.

"Same, but lets not get too nervous though." I said.

Ezra nodded.

"Anyways, im just here to brush my teeth." Ezra said.

"Go ahead." I smiled as i was about to leave.

"Wait Maudie!" Ezra said.

"What is it?" I asked turning back.

"Can we have a night call- uh i mean talk after I'm done brushing my teeth?" Ezra asked.

"Sure." I said. "But im picking the topic." I said.

"Deal." Ezra smiled.

I smiled back and walked out of the bathroom.

Hmm, what topic should we talk about?

Maybe we can just talk about something random and something good will pop up.

Ava is going LIVE on Instagram and Kyle is playing video games.

I sat down on the bed and waited for Ezra.

After 2 minutes..

Ezra finally came out of the bathroom.

It felt like an eternity.

"What took you so long?" I asked.

"Oh sorry. Im starting to use mouthwash now." Ezra said.

"What made you want to start using mouthwash?" I asked.

"I don't know. I see other teenagers doing it so..." Ezra said.

"You probably hate using mouthwash though, am i right?" I said.

"No, i totally love it..." Ezra said.

He was obviously lying.

"Sure. But for your information, Using mouthwash doesn't make you look more mature or grown up." I said.

"How did you-" Ezra said.

"Ezra Banks, i've known you for 2 years now." I said.

"I guess so.." Ezra said.

"Okay, lets just start our nightly chat then." I said.

"I was actually thinking of going somewhere more private. You know, so Ava.... AND Kyle can't gush about us being a couple." Ezra said.
