Maudie POV
"And that's what happened at my 9th birthday party." Ava said.
"We know Ava, we were there." Ezra said.
"I wasn't." I said
"Oh right, you weren't there." Ezra said
"Sometimes it's hard..." I said.
"What is?" Ezra asked.
"Being in a group that has so much history." I said
"You've been with us for 2 years..." Kyle said.
"I mean before I met you guys." I said
"Yeah, you right. I'm so sorry for making you feel left out." Ava said.
"You weren't." I smiled
"Plus before you were here. Kyle, Ezra and I weren't in a group together." Ava said.
"But I bet you guys were quite close with each other." I said.
"I guess so." Ava said.
"Ava and Kyle used to be very close though.." Ezra said.
"Really? tell me more." I smirked
"Well, when Kyle wasn't eating with me during lunch, He would be eating lunch with Ava." Ezra said.
"Interesting." I said.
"They would even chase each other around the playground during recess sometimes." Ezra said.
"Wow, I wonder why they stopped.." I said.
"We grew up Maudie. We grew up." Ava said.
"No, you guys drifted apart because of Pixie." Ezra said.
"Don't blame Pixie!" Ava said, highly annoyed.
"I mean, Ezra's not lying. We did kinda drift apart after you met Pixie." Kyle said.
"Yeah, you guys actually did." Ezra said.
"I guess so." Ava admitted.
"Well its all good now." I smiled.
"Yeah." Ava smiled.
"Still, I'm sorry for accidentally drifting away from you.
"It's okay i didn't really care. Though i did miss eating lunch with you." Kyle said.
"I missed chasing you too, Kyle." Ava smiled
"But you couldn't catch me because i was too fast." Kyle said with a proud smile.
"Oh shut up." Ava said as she punched Kyle's shoulder.
"You guys are adorable." I said.
Ava rolled her eyes playfully.
Harriet came in.
"Its show time guys.." Harriet said with a big smile on her face.
