I glanced at the aerial view of the race track through my phone. Sinipat kong mabuti iyon ay matamang inaral ang bawat parte ng track. I swiftly enveloped my fingers on the steering wheel.

Maverick's at the car beside me. We're using a same brand and model of sports car. The only difference is he's using obsidian black colored car while the one I'm riding that I borrowed from Spencer is white.

I told Spence about me racing with Maverick but I didn't tell him what are the consequences if I win or lose.

I need to win no matter what. I want to be Maverick's girlfriend again even just for a day. Then after that I'll stick to my words, I won't see him ever again.

Maverick always win. Tama ang sinabi ni Spencer na wala pa nga itong talo ngunit hindi ako nakaramdam ng pangamba dahil sa bagay na iyon.

I'll beat him.

My head cocked with the racing helmet I'm wearing. This is just a one lap race but as I stared at the race track, I know it won't be easy.

Muli pa kaming nagtalo ni Maverick dahil sa race track na napili ko. This is one the dangerous track in the Philippines.

Even Spencer stopped me when I told him where I'll race with Mav. But in the end, wala siyang magawa dahil pinal na ang desisyon ko.

Spence wants to watch but he still have a meeting. Hahabol daw siya kung kakayanin. But earlier, he sent me a message informing me he can't make it because the meeting started late.

I slightly tapped my fingers on the steering wheel as I waited for the go signal.

I glanced at Maverick even if I can't see him inside his car. Matapos muling bumalik aking tingin sa harapan ay agad kong narinig ang putok ng baril, hudyat ng simula ng aming karera.

We immediately advanced far from the starting line. There are only two cars racing, kaya naman maluwag ang daan at walang masyadong sagabal.

I glanced at the track again and saw it turning right. I slowed down a bit. Ganoon din ang ginawa ni Maverick sa dumating na pagliko.

Our cars' moving side by side. Wala kahit sino sa amin ang makalamang ngunit sa muling pagpaling ng daan ay doon na umabante ang sasakyan ni Mav.

"Shit." I cursed when the distance between our cars suddenly widened.

I can feel my heart ramming my ribcage as the race continue. I eagerly stepped on the gas, trying to reach the speed limit of the car but I heard Maverick's car honking.

That's when I saw the track turning towards different direction. I immediately withdrew my foot on the gas when I almost loss control on the car. Mabuti ay agad akong nakapreno at mabilis na naipaling ang manibela.

Agad akong nakabawi doon at muling inabot ang speed limit ng sasakyan.

Napakunot ang aking noo nang mapansing bumagal ang takbo ng kotse ni Maverick.

At first, I thought I'm speeding up. But it didn't took me awhile to realize I didn't!

He's still fast but slowing down until I reached his car. Walang kahirap hirap na nagsabay ang aming kotse hanggang sa tuluyan ko siyang maungusan.

Habang tumatagal ay lalong lumalalim ang kunot sa aking noo dahil kay Mav.

Maverick's now just tailing my car! I licked my lower lip. We're still fast but I slow down a bit, trying to see if Mav will advanced his car but he didn't! Bahagya ring bumagal ang takbo ng kanyang kotse kasabay ng aming pagliko.
