Chapter 1: The Mission begins

Leo then hovers through the spacious hallways of the Von Braun, hovering over various crowds of people while on his way to the launch bay where he is joined by four other Horus probes: an orange one (Galileo), a green one (Columbus), a purple one (Charles Darwin), and a cyan one (Richard Dawkins) as they all get a radio transmission from the Horus probe Balboa as he alerts all Horus probes to report to Launch bay immediately. once all the probes have gathered at the launch base, we see a man with gray sideburns and a scar on his cheek wearing a futuristic military uniform step up on a pedestal overlooking the horus probes, this man is Colonel Abraham Striker, a respected military man and a veteran of the nanotech wars that destroyed planet earth, with the Horus probe Balboa (colored red) floating by his side. Striker turns his head to Balboa and tells him to activate one of his camera discs, and so he does. the Colonel asks Balboa if the camera disc is recording, and he says yes. Colonel Striker then broadcasts a holographic message to all the people of the Von Braun who all watch with anticipation: "Good morning citizens of the Von Braun! I have an important announcement to make, it is an exciting day here at the space colony ship Von Braun, as the launch of Project: Regenesis is happening right here, right now! here several Horus probes will be scattered across the cosmos in pairs in search of a suitable planet for Humanity to colonize and repopulate. the launch will begin in FIVE! FOUR! THREE! TWO! ONE!" as the camera disc retracts back into Balboa's back as Balboa tells the other Horus Probes to find a partner. as the probes scatter around the room in search of partners to pair up with, Leo asks "what partners?" Balboa then tells the blue probe "of course Leo, didn't you hear the part Colonel Striker said about pairs?" Leo then tells Balboa that he didn't catch that part. all the other probes decide on their partners before boarding the dropships: Galileo is paired up with Columbus, and Charles Darwin is paired up with Richard Dawkins leaving poor Leo behind with Balboa telling Leo "sorry, guess you're too late". Leo is frustrated, exclaiming "Too late? this can't be happening, I've had YEARS of training all leading up to this moment and it was all for NOTHING? this is just great". Leo and Balboa both hear a voice that says "hey guys, I might be late for the party, but I hope you saved a partner for meeee!!!!" as a yellow Horus probe zooms through the doors and crashes into Leo knocking him off-course. Leo frustrated with the yellow probe tells him to watch where he's flying. the yellow probe apologizes to Leo and asks if any of his internal circuitry is damaged, but Leo says he's fine. the yellow probe turns his head to see Colonel Striker and salutes, saying "Colonel Striker! Horus Probe Isaac Newton reporting for duty sir! but you can call me Ike for short sir!" while Leo extends one of his robotic arms and facepalms. Leo then turns to face Balboa to ask his red-colored friend "hey Balboa, can you please be my partner? because I can't tolerate rookies and screw-ups like him". Balboa tells his blue friend "I'm sorry Leo, but I already have a job here at the Von Braun to serve as tech support and give advice to the other Horus probes while they're on their missions. I'm afraid you're stuck with Ike as your partner". Leo then boards the last remaining dropship with a grumpy look on his face. Ike looks at Leo and says "jeez, and I thought the Mars Rover had problems" before following Leo into the cockpit of the dropship only to see Leo in the pilot's seat. Ike circles around Leo, asking him "so.... you must be my new partner, eh? so what's your name big blue?" Leo gets frustrated and tells Ike "Don't call me that. I go by the codename Leonardo Da Vinci, or Leo for short, as the professor calls me". Ike gasps and starts geeking out in front of Leo, saying "no way, you're Professor Barlowe's prized probe that everybody's been talking about? excuse me I'm a huge fan" as he shakes hands with Leo. Ike then zips around the interior of the ship and notices a big red button, asking what that button does before Leo gives Ike a slap on the wrist and tells him not to touch anything. however Leo and Ike's camera eyes widen as the dropship suddenly gets launched out of the Von Braun and into space with all the other dropships which all scatter upon being launched into orbit. Leo looks out the window of the dropship and into the vastness of space. Ike then asks Leo "so... why are you in such a grouchy mood, huh?" Leo then tells Ike "I've been training for this mission ever since I first came online, everything was going the way I planned it, until you came along and ruined EVERYTHING. and now I'm stuck... with you". Ike then tells Leo "oh, I guess you must hate me then" and starts crying followed by a very-annoyed Leo telling Ike "I don't hate you I just wish you were less annoying now quit whining please!" Ike then calms down and turns his attention to the big red button again saying "oooh so can I push the button now?" Leo then panics and says "not the lightspeed button, no!" however he is too late as Ike pushes the big red button causing the dropship to go into hyperspace before heading towards a red-tinted planet with two ice caps and a small purple sea: the planet of Darwin IV. Leo and Ike both hug each other and scream for their lives as the dropship then crash-lands into the purple "sea" and gets stuck in the gelatinous mass.
