As the dropship starts sinking into the "sea" below, the two probes start to panic with Leo accusing Ike for them being stuck in this predicament, saying "well isn't this just great, we're sinking and it's all your fault!" Ike then tells Leo "I didn't mean to!" Leo then sighs and tells him "Ike, we don't have time for this. we need to find a way out of the ship before it sinks!" Ike then tells Leo "you mean like this?" before pressing the eject button launching both him and Leo out of the sinking dropship and into the air. Ike and Leo both activate their flight stabilizers in midair and hover downwards until they're just above the sea's surface. Ike looks at Leo and says "well that was fun. so... where exactly are we?" Leo tells him "It appears we are some kind of unknown planet. I'll try to radio the Von Braun and find out just where the heck we are". Leo activates his intercom and asks "Colonel? Balboa? Professor? somebody please answer!" however all he gets is nothing but static. Leo takes his anger out on Ike and yells at him shouting "we're stranded on an alien planet who-knows-how-many lightyears from home with no way of contacting the Von Braun, and it's all your fault! I don't want to see you ever again!" before hovering off leaving Ike behind. Ike tells Leo "hey, you'll never find a new home for humanity that way! you need me!" however Leo just ignores him and keeps on moving. Ike then says "fine, have it your way! I don't need you" before looking down at the "sea" below, taking note of how strange it is. Ike says "say, this water looks very weird. might as well take a sample of it!" Ike then switches out his regular hand for a hose and pokes the surface of the sea only to realize he's unable to penetrate the surface. a confused Ike says "that's strange, I can't seem to penetrate the surface. like it's protected by some kind of force field or something! unless... Leo, wait up!" Ike then flies off and catches back up with Leo, trying to get his attention only for Leo to keep ignoring him before telling the yellow probe to leave him alone. Ike then tells Leo "I get that you're mad at me and don't want to see me again but I have something to show you!" Leo rolls his eyes and tells Ike this better be important. Ike tells Leo "see the sea below us? It's not made of water. it's some kind of purple goo, like it's made of purple Jello or something". Leo tells Ike "you can't be serious" Ike then tells Leo "I AM serious, check it out for yourself!" Ike then extends his arm and pokes the surface of the "sea" making it jiggle. Leo then extends his arm and does the same, exclaiming "hey you're right, it IS made of purple goo! let me take a sample and see what exactly this stuff is" before scooping up a small chunk of the "sea" in his hand and uses his camera eyes to zoom into the sample revealing it to be made up of several micro-organisms. Leo then says "Interesting... this gelatinous mass is apparently made up of several micro-organisms working together as a colony!" followed by Ike saying "so basically it's an amoebic sea". Leo then says "precisely". Ike tells Leo "you're smart, you know that? certainly smarter than me". Leo then tells Ike "learned everything from Balboa. that probe's a total science geek, but a genius nonetheless. so Ike... Ike?" Leo then turns his head to see Ike bouncing up and down on the Amoebic sea's surface like a giant trampoline while shouting "this is fun! I like THIS planet!". Leo then scolds Ike for goofing off, telling him "Ike the fate of humanity is counting on us, this is no time for fun and games! Ike then stops and floats back up into the air, telling Leo "party pooper". four purple tentacles then suddenly lunge out from below the amoebic sea's surface to grab Ike by the tail and begin to pull him under. Ike then panics and shouts "Leo! Leo! Help! the sea's trying to kill me!!!!" Leo looks down and watches Ike sink into the Amoebic sea, telling him "why should I? you're the reason why we're stuck on this rock in the first place. you get what you deserve" before flying off leaving the poor Ike to his doom. Ike then shouts "oh come on that's just cruel!" only for Leo to stop in his tracks, the blue Horus probe's eyes widen as he notices massive stormclouds approaching. Leo then activates his anchors to latch onto one of the towering salt spires as he struggles to hold his ground against the sheer force of the storm. Leo looks up to see the silhouette of a MASSIVE black creature stomping across the Amoebic sea with a singular glowing eye-like orb lighting up the darkness of the storm. Leo then looks down to see Ike still struggling to get out of the sea as the creature's massive foot slowly stomps ever closer.
