I walked into Buckley's office an I locked eyes with my old PO, Tony. I was pissed off, why was he here?!

T-it's good to see you again Dakota

D- I would say it back but we both know that's a lie

I sat down in the chair trying my best not to lose my shit, I hated that he was here and honestly I don't want him here. 

B- well uh Ms. Portman, do you know why we brought you in today?

D- nope but I'm sure you will tell me

he gave me a warning look making me sigh and bite my tongue knowing not to speak 

B- as you know fighting in this school is not allowed, you broke that rule when you got into with Ms. Gaffney

D- I never hit her though?

T- but I'm sure you were gonna right? if your brother didn't show

I flipped him off getting more pissed that he chimed into the conversation

B- fighting at any cost here is not allowed, even if it's only arguing. I told you when you got here that if you need help controlling this angry I would help you but you chose not to have my help.

I didn't answer waiting for them to get to the point

B- if you get into another fight, you will be sent to juvie.

I looked at him with wide eyes as i sat up more in my seat

T- we don't want that for you so we are giving you this last warning. 

I just nodded not wanting to fight over this even though I really wanted to because this was stupid. Buckley allowed me to leave so I got up heading out the door running into a pretty pissed Rick, he was about to yell until he saw me in which his face soften as we started to walk

R- so I got news

D- lay in on me Riley

he chuckled an started to talk

R- we are having a showdown with JV tonight. it's serect so no Ref's or coaches only us. They decided to put ants in our dorms last night when we were sleeping, they started this.

D- so what time tonight?

R- dawn, so get sleep before and get up 2 hours before. don't need our star player sleepy

I shock my head as he walked into his class so I went to mine. *skipping to the show down because I'm me an too lazy* i did as Rick said an woke up about 2 hours ago, I made it to the rink and changed into the gear before getting on the ice. the rest of the varsity team came an we were skating laps as we waited for JV. when JV got on the ice I saw Adam an my blood boiled, I was so mad at him. didn't help that I could see Maddie on the stands which made me skate to Rick

D- I thought you said it was us only?!

R- I did

D- than why is she here?!

he looked at the stands than back at me

R- looks like your brother couldn't play without his cheerleader

I rolled my eyes an the game started, we all started to play and I got checked by Fulton which fuck him. I got up though an checked him back before skating to help Rick keep the puck. The game was going fine until Adam an I started battling over the puck so I hooked him an he fell into the goal, he got up an shoved me lightly

D- how was the fall banks?!

A- oh yeah, you would have been in the box!

D- oh boo hoo go cry to your rich daddy!

A- at least I'm not about to get sent to juvie, you delinquent!

I punched him causing him to try an stop me but I kept going. The rest of both teams started fighting and we are were going at it. than the lights flicked on an Orion started ripping us apart while yelling, he yanked me off Adam an told us varsity members to go. I skated back wards before having to get the last word

D- at least I can admit how I feel! you are to coward to admit the truth!

I turned back around an got off the ice heading to locker room to change, I got my shit and headed to my dorm while Rick an Scooter followed me. I sat on my bed while they sat on the floor to my desk chair (scooter sat on the floor so Rick got the chair)

R- you okay Dakota?

Sc- yeah that was some intense stuff

I nodded while pulling my hair back out of my face

R- it's okay not to be okay, I know you like him

I was gonna say something but my door opened an Julie came in making me roll my eyes

D- get out.

J- I just have something important to tell you

I sighed an waited for her to speak thinking she was gonna say 'sorry'

J- Adam an Maddie slept in the same bed last night and I caught them cuddling this morning.

my mouth dropped open an my heart dropped 

D- does anyone else know?

J- all the ducks did. I thought you should know

I didn't say anything an just got up off my bed storming to the locker rooms. I walked in an all the ducks look at me slightly confused, I saw Maddie sitting on the bench by Adam making me scuff

C- Dakota why are you in here?

D- you all knew.

he looked at me more confused as my eyes filled with water

C- knew what?

D- that Adam an Maddie slept together last night..

all their faces went into a look of realization when I said that, Adam's eyes went wide while Maddie looked at her hands

De- what did you expect? he is single can sleep with who he wants.

I looked right at Dean wiping any tears that had fallen

D- of course you would know about that Dean, you slept with almost every girl in this school expect Connie!

F- don't start on th-

I cut him off (not a shocker there)

D- oh but I will! you are so far up Dean's ass Reed it's hard to see where he started an you began!

Adam walked over an had tears in his eyes but I shock my head

D- an you, I loved you!! an you do this to me?! why would you do this to me?!

he didn't say anything to me which I'm glad he didn't because I would have punched him. I turned on my heel walking away from him heading straight back to my dorm, I got half way there when I dropped to the ground trying to breath. I knew I was about to have a panic attack and I couldn't stop it, I saw someone running towards me an saw Rick. he dropped in front of me an tried to help me control my breathing.. it took a bit but it worked.. Rick Riley may not be as bad as I thought
