I got up early and headed round to the Hybe building since I couldn't really sleep. I put on a cute outfit to try and boost my confidence so that I felt more equipped to handle what I was about to take on.

"Hi, I'm here to see Chan?" I asked the receptionist, hoping she knew to expect me.

"Please fill out this form, and we will get your pass ready. You can have a seat over there." she pointed toward the visitor seating area behind me. After about 5 minutes, I see a tall man heading toward me.

"Hi Kira, I'm Chan, I was in the meeting yesterday. If you follow me, then I can take you upstairs. Here is your temporary pass. We will get you a permanent one after your trial period is over."

He was the guy who spoke after Mr. Bang, he must be the translator for the company or something. We head on over to the elevators, and he continues to explain.

"I will be your go between, anything you have questions on, you can come to me. Jin's English is conversational, but if there are any problems, then let me know, and I can help you to communicate. We are based on the 18th floor, so try not to go on any of the others. The fewer people we involve, the better."

The doors open to a sleek hallway with doors intermittent along the walls. As we walk past the first few, I notice one with a label that says "Genius Lab" and a door mat that says "Go Away." I chuckle to myself, assuming that whoever it belongs to will be my kind of person.

Everything happened so quickly that I didn't even have time to look up the group yet. By the looks of the building, though, they must be a big deal. We head towards the end of the hall and go into the last room. There is an entire wall of mirrors and 7 people dancing in sync. We stand at the entry and close the door behind us, not wanting to interrupt. They are so handsome, even sweating and exhausted from the exertion.

I was taken aback by how swift and powerful they were with their moves. You can tell that they put a lot of time and energy into their performances just by watching 30 seconds worth of them performing together. The music ends, and I start clapping. They all turn to look at me, and I stop immediately, realising that it wasn't the right atmosphere for me to be fanning over them. They all laugh out loud except the guy on the far left. He just smirks and looks down at his feet, and then they all break up to go get some water.

Chan then starts speaking in Korean, so I suddenly feel very alone and out of place. I don't think I realised just how out of my depth I would be until that moment. They continue for a few minutes when someone comes over and introduces himself.

"Hi, Kira, is it?" The tallest of the 7 men comes over to me first.

"Annyonghasaeyo." I respond with some of the only Korean I know.

"Ah, your Korean is good. I actually speak English, so I thought it would be easier for everyone if I introduced you to the members. I'm Namjoon. If Chan isn't there to help, then I will try my best to. Then we have the maknae Jungkook. " he introduces the next member. He has an arm full of tattoos, so I will be able to remember him. They aren't something you come across very often here. I wave, and he nods back, knowing that any conversation we have will be minimal.

"This is Taehyung & Jimin. They are old school friends and are singers in the group. J-Hope is our resident dancer. The guy lying down on the bench sleeping is Yoongi. He produces music and raps, and then we have Jin. He is our hyung and the one you will be working with." We both just wave to each other, feeling awkward with an audience. "We might not have many interactions as a group with you, but I hope we can still be good friends." he beams showing his dimples.

"Thank you so much, really. I appreciate you all taking the time to introduce yourselves to me. I know you must be busy, so I will try not to be a burden." I try to let him know that I really am thankful and glad that someone speaks English, so I didn't feel too out of my element.

"No problem, we will let you two get more acquainted, but it was good to meet you."

Chan walks over to us and shows me and Jin to another room. It's like a sitting room but filled with trophies. Judging by the number of accolades, I really was missing out on something big by not knowing anything about them – I didn't realise I would also have homework with this job. We take a seat at the table next to some of the awards, and then he goes over to the fridge in the corner.

"Would you like a drink?" he asks in English and I'm caught off guard. "Sure, I will just have the same as you, please."

"We need to, get comfortable." he says, pausing between words as he thinks of what he wants to say.

"I'm sorry I don't speak any Korean." I feel the need to apologise for how rude it is to come to a country and not at least try to speak more of the language than I can after 6 months.

"It's okay. We work together. Get better, both of us." he smiles, trying to encourage me, sensing that I was a little apprehensive.

"I am Kim Seok Jin, worldwide handsome.  You can call me Jin. Let's work hard together."

"I am Kira. It's nice to meet you, Jin."

We continue trying to have small talk with a lot of awkward silences in between. After half an hour, Chan comes back and tells Jin he is needed elsewhere. He hands me a schedule and tells me to get in touch if I need him, then I head on home.

YOONGI POV

We finish dancing, and we are taken out of our trance by the loud clapping of someone behind us. There she was. Jordan-Beanie girl. She was back in the office. With Chan. Who was bringing the new "employee" for Jin hyung to meet. I try to squash down any attraction I might have had on that first encounter now that I know why she is here. How someone can agree to this I don't quite understand. I tried to talk Jin out of it, but he said he didn't want to fight with the company on this one. He would just do what was expected.

I go to lie down while they do all of the pleasantries, and we can get this routine out of the way. They head off, and the rest of us keep doing the practice for the next half hour until we are happy with what we have. I grab a bottle of water and head to my studio. As I walk out of the door, mid sip, I bump straight into her.

"I'm so sorry!" she gasps.
"I was too busy looking at my schedule that I wasn't paying attention." she says with a worried expression on her face. I just stand there, not sure how to be with her.

"Aaaaaand you don't know what I'm saying, because I'm an idiot who only knows English. Mianh~" I interrupt her before she can finish her attempt at Korean. "Dwaeso, it's fine, forget about it." I respond. She stares at me like I grew another head, and I can feel her eyes staring at me as I keep walking and head into my studio.
