My SUPPORT System

Miranda and Ben were both now back in her room laying in the hospital bed cuddled together. "I've missed this", Miranda said rubbing his face.

"Miss what?"

"Being in the moment with you and just enjoying the peace it brings me."

Ben scooted closer putting his face into Miranda's breast and she rubbed his head. "I miss you too babe", Ben said enjoying being in his wife's arms.

"Benjamin?"

"Yes baby."

"I was thinking back to when we were talking earlier and you mentioned so I don't go into early labor again in the future...."

"Yeah....."

"I'm not having another baby. This is it for us."

"Are you sure that's what you want?", he looked up.

"Yes I'm sure."

"Okay then I'll have a vasectomy and if you change your mind even for a second we can reverse it."

Miranda sat up. "You'll really have a vasectomy without question?"

"Yes anything for you."

"Aweee I love you so much Benjamin Warren, but you don't have to get a vasectomy. It's not about changing my mind, its about my endometriosis and the pain continously coming back after each child. I'm tired of the painful cycles and painful sex that happens every now and then. I'm just tired of it all and I'm very thankful and blessed to have been able to conceive as many babies as I did, but now I feel it's time I end it all and get a hysterectomy."

"Miranda that's a major surgery", he said worried.

"I know Benjamin, but I can't do that again. I'm tired of it controlling my life sometimes. I've been doing my research and I know that there's a chance it can come back in my bowels, but-......"

"But nothing Miranda....there's a risk of it still leaving you not pain free so why are you willing to take that risk."

"Benjamin I don't want to fight with you. I'm just telling you what I'm going to do and I hope I have your support."

"I want to hear what your doctor has to say about it. Have yall talked?"

"No!"

"Good Night Miranda. When you speak with her let me know so she can explain more. In the meantime we are only focused on Miracle. Okay?!"

"Okay Benjamin", she laid back down on the pillow and Ben snuggled up to her breast and they both fell to sleep.

"Hey Miss Torres what are you doing here? Your appointment isn't until next week", Miranda's doctor said to Callie in the hallway.

"Oooh I'm visiting a friend, but I have to go. See you next week", Callie said trying to hurry up and end the conversation, but they were going in the same direction to Miranda's room.

"Is his head never not in your breast Miranda", Callie said walking into her room with the doctor. "MIRANDA AND MIRANDA'S BABY ON HER BREAST WAKE UP!"

"Really Callie, you need to be more considered of others. We are tired!"

"That's nice and no he needs to be more considered of not taking all of the baby's milk. Look and he needs a bib.....drooling all over you", Callie said sitting down on the bed as Ben sat up wiping the side of his face.

"I can't help that my natural built in pillows puts him to sleep", Miranda said. "Good morning baby!", she kissed him.

"That's not the only thing that puts him to sleep I hear and ewwww morning breath.....really Miranda. You can't love him that much."
