Miranda sat there in silence. Her tears immediately stopped out of nowhere because at this moment she knew Ben would want her to solely focus on the kids and her safety.

She couldn't see him like that and went down the staircase shutting the door back.

When she got to the bottom it lead straight to a door outside where she was met with police officers, EMS and the other girls.

"MA?!", Melanie ran from the EMS truck straight to her arms. "Dad hasn't came out yet", she cried.

"I know baby! I have to tell you something", Miranda almost fainted trying to find the right words to say that her one and only true soul mate was gone.

"Things are going to be a lot different now and I'm going to need your help being strong for the younger ones."

"MA? Where's dad?", she looked at her eyes roaming back and forth.

"Sweety", she rubbed her face and head. "I'm sorry, but-....." Miranda fainted.

"HELP!!!! I NEED HELP OVER HERE", Melanie yelled. "My mom fainted.......mom what happened? Where's DAD.... WHERE'S DAD?!!", she yelled shaking her.

Miranda slowly woke up trying to pull her oxygen mask off, but she was too weak. "MA?!", Melanie laid on her tightly hugging her.

"Ouch Mels!!! My breast I need to pump."

"Ooh I'm sorry."

"Mrs. Warren?", detective Walsh said.

"I can't right now detective I have my kids to worry about now and I can't even fathom my life right now living without my husband."

Melanie looked at Miranda with ocean filled eyes. "NOOOOO!"

"I'M SO SORRY BABY!"

"NOOOOOOOO NO NO NO! IT'S MY FAULT HE'S GONE", she fell to the ground.

"Mrs. Warren?!"

"Please just leave us alone....", she said as they wheeled her away into the truck and Melanie got in after them.

They had been at the hospital for hours and Miranda haven't said anything to anyone. She wasn't answering any questions or cooperating with any of the staff. All she did was stare at the wall while sitting in the bed.

Eventually they had to send in a psychiatrist to evaluate her to see if she was suicidal.

"Where's my wife?", was the first thing Ben yelled after waking up from surgery. "Where is my daughter? Did they make it out? Stop touching me", he said yanking everything off and out.

"Sir we are going to have to sedate you if you don't settle down", the nurse said.

"What happened to me? Where is my family? They are all that matters to me!"

"I'll look for them, but I need you to settle or you'll rip your stitches."

"What hospital are we at?", Miranda asked the psychiatrist cutting her eyes at her then at the window.

"Seattle Grace...why?"

Miranda started to get out of the bed. "Where are you going?", she grabbed her arm.

"Don't touch me....I'm going to go hold my baby because it's the closet thing left I have of him."

The psychiatrist didn't stop her and Miranda went to the NICU.

"We're at Seattle Grace right?", Ben asked.

"Yes why?", the nurse said.

"I'm going to go see my baby. She's the closet newest thing I have to my wife. I need her..!"
