Chapter 3

3rd person's POV

"Alright, you're settled in. Just call us if you need anything." Said Kurenai then they bid goodbye to Azumi.

This is Azumi's home now. Her father's hometown. She settled all her things and cleaned her room. This house was provided by Tsunade. It's close to the lake and close to the sensory headquarters too.

Azumi asked Tsunade to be in a place where its quiet so she won't hear many thoughts.

She tucked herself in and closed her eyes.

Morning...

Azumi woke up to the sound of birds chirping. She stretched and rubbed her eyes then she left the bed to shower.

After she showered, she got dressed and went outside.

As she walks to the streets of Konoha, she saw the boy who called her yesterday.

"Azumi-nee chan!" Called Shikamaru.

"Oh, it's you again." Azumi replied.

"Can we talk nee chan?" Shikamaru asked. Azumi just nodded her head.

They walk to the side of the lake and sat there.

"You're probably shocked cause I know you." Shikamaru said.

"Kind of, how come you know me?" Azumi asked.

"Uncle and I are pretty close. He always told me about you. You know, uncle really adores you. Even on his last breath he asked me to protect you." Shikamaru replied.

"What's my dad like?" Azumi asked.

"He's a great shinobi. He kind of looks like my dad but without battle scars." Shikamaru replied.

"What's your dad like?" Azumi asked.

"Like a Pokémon evolution of me." He replied and they both laughed.

"You know, Uncle kept some pictures of you that's why I know what you looked like." Shika said.

"You're lucky, you knew him." Azumi said.

"Don't be sad nee chan. You have us." Shika said with a smile.

"Thank you." Azumi replied.

"I'll be going now nee chan, I have training." He said then he left.

"Hello." Kakashi greeted out of nowhere.

"Cheese and fries! You scared me!" Azumi exclaimed.

"Didn't you hear my thoughts?" Asked Kakashi.

"No! Apparently, you're the only one in this village who I can't hear a thought. Not even one." Azumi replied.

"Well, that made me feel special." Kakashi stated sarcastically.

"Why are you here anyway?" Azumi asked.

"Tsunade asked me to show you around the village." Kakashi said.

"I don't feel like walking around the village." Azumi replied.

"Then what am I supposed to do?" Asked Kakashi.

"I don't know. Train your students?" Azumi asked.

"They have their own mentors." He replied.

"Go on a date with your girlfriend?" Azumi suggested.

"Don't have one." Kakashi replied which made Azumi dropped her mouth.

"For real?!" -Azumi

"Yes." Kakashi simply answered.

But he's handsome, how come he doesn't have a girlfriend. Is he gay?

"So, what are we going to do now?" Asked Kakashi.

"I don't know about you but I'm going home and enjoy the day by resting." Azumi replied.

"Then I'll go with you." Kakashi stated.

They both walked home and when they reach Azumi's house, they took off their shoes and went inside.

"Are you sure you want to stay?" Asked Azumi. Kakashi just nodded.

"Okay, suit yourself." Azumi stated.

Not long after, an owl appeared in Azumi's front yard.

"Hey, you have a visitor." Said Kakashi.

Azumi went outside to see an eagle owl. Azumi looked so done in her life.

"Ulysses." Azumi called the owl. She removed the paper that was tied on the owl's feet.

Hey, love. I miss you.

"Oh, for fuck's sake." Azumi said in disgust.

"What's wrong?" Asked Kakashi.

"This cousin of mine loves to annoy me. He even sent his owl here." Azumi replied. She went inside to grab a parchment paper and quill.

"Fuck you Draco. We're cousins. Disgusting." Kakashi read what Azumi was writing.

Azumi then went to Ulysses and tied her response. She gave Ulysses a treat before sending him off.

"So, are you the only one in your family that hear thoughts?" Kakashi asked breaking the silence.

"No. My great, great aunt can also read minds. I have a cousin who can transform herself into anything." Azumi replied.

"Really? Your family must be great." Kakashi stated.

"Not really, they disowned my mom and aunt because they fell in love with a muggle." Azumi said.

"Muggle? What's that?" Kakashi asked.

"Non magic people. I know it's hard to believe but, my mom's family is a witch." Azumi said.

"Prove it." Kakashi said.

Azumi took her wand and waved it.

"Accio book." Said Azumi and a book flew to her.

"What? Witches are real?" Kakashi asked unbelievably.

"Just don't tell the others." Azumi replied.

"Can the rest of your family see the future like you can?" Kakashi asked.

"Nope. Just me." Azumi replied.

"Did you see me coming in your vision?" He asked.

"Nope. Coming here is not my plan. I just woke up one day and decided to go here so I didn't see any of you." Azumi replied.

"Do you have a boyfriend?" Asked Kakashi.

"Why are you asking random questions?" Azumi asked.

"Because I'm bored." He replied.

"No, I don't have." Azumi replied.

"Do you want one?" Kakashi asked.

"No! What kind of question is that?" Azumi asked in annoyance.

"Sorry. I didn't mean to annoy you." Kakashi replied.

Azumi just stared at him.

Kiss. Hug. Happy.

"It can't be! I don't want to fall for him. He's annoying." Azumi thought to herself.

"Are you okay?" Asked Kakashi.

"Yeah. I just had a sudden vision." Azumi replied.

"About me? What is it?" Kakashi asked.

"Nothing important. Just watch your steps when you go home." Azumi lied.

She can't tell him that she saw them kissing and hugging and being happy together.
