FOR THE FIRST TIME IN HIS LIFE, ATLAS BLACK WAS ACTUALLY TRYING TO GET A GRYFFINDOR TO TALK TO HIM AND THIS TIME IT WAS A GIRL BY THE NAME OF DAWN KALE: WHO HAD SPENT THE LAST THREE WEEKS SOLEY AVOIDING HIM, EVEN WHEN THEY GOT PAIRED TOGETHER IN DEFENCE TWICE AND WERE PLACED BESIDE ONE ANOTHER DURING THE EXAMS.
Atlas had now felt like the one stalking the girl because she was now avoiding him and wanted nothing to do with him. He had quite literally not been able to get the girl alone since the day in the library when he offended her (according to Emerson he had been insensitive to her feelings because of the obvious treatment of people who weren't pureblood) and he tried everything to apologise.
But no, precious Dawn Kale, had not allowed Atlas near her at all. He had realised his mistake but there was no way she would even look at him.
Then Atlas came up with the perfect plan one afternoon.
Miss Kale,
We have urgent matters to discuss regarding your Quidditch spot on the team. Please meet me by the Whomping Willow tomorrow night, 10pm and come alone.
