After checking out of their hotel, they had parted ways with Kaz.

"I'll make my own way." He had told them.

Sabo was curious to see how he would get into the Little Palace by himself. She certainly hoped it would've been better than the ride she, Arken, Inej, and Jesper were having.

They were currently on the road with the carriage of the Pomdrakon Players. It had been crowded in the carriage so she and Inej were sitting in front of it. They were relaxing on the wooden stools, right behind the horses. Inej held the reins of them.

"You think she's real?" Inej asked.

"The Sun Summoner?" Sabo replied as she shifted her eyes from the road.

Inej nodded at her, Sabo looked back towards the horses, avoiding Inej her questionable gaze. She thought about her question before she answered.

"I don't think so."

"But what are going to do if she is? What if she really is a Sun Summoner, what would Dreesen want from her?" Inej asked.

Sabo didn't look back towards her friend, Inej frowned at her, not understanding why she was avoiding her gaze like this.

"She won't be real, Inej." Sabo replied calmly, her jaw set.

Sabo looked back towards the carriage; the windows were all closed. She shifted her glance towards one of the windowpanes, seeing Jesper, Marko, and Arken in a deep conversation, grinning at one another.

"How can you be so sure about that?" Inej asked.

"Power like that can't be hidden for that long." she pressed her lips together while she glanced behind her again, checking if there was any way they could hear them.

"Besides, there is a Ravkan general," she whispered. "General Zlatan. He is planning on separating West Ravka from the East. His supporters were planning a coup, but then out of the blue, rumors started to circulate about a Sun Summoner."

Inej frowned at her. "So, you think that this is just a political move from the East?"

Sabo nodded. Inej seemed to ponder that question for a while before she spoke up.

"But what if it isn't? What if she really is the Sun Summoner?"

Sabo had been dodging that question ever since she had watched Alexei bleeding out on Dreesen's floor. When the Fjerdans found out she was a Saint they had locked her up, trying to find out how they could use her powers to their advantage.

What if she had been Ravkan? She wouldn't have been shipped off to prison but towards a palace. A place that would help her and protect her, a place where she wouldn't be a prisoner nor a slave for her country.

Sabo hadn't considered the possibility of Alina being a real saint. The question threw her off. What if Alina was a saint, and the palace was protecting and helping her with her abilities, Sabo knew that she wouldn't kidnap her, she wouldn't give someone the same fate she undertook.

"We'll see when we'll get there." She replied to Inej, her voice heavy. Inej noticed and glanced at her for a while.

"You're starting to sound like Kaz."

Sabo frowned as she started stretching her back. "How so?" she asked her while pretending to be bored.

"He thinks all the saints are fake."

"Maybe he believes in something, but I doubt that we'll ever find out."

"He doesn't believe in any saints. Not even the story about Sankta Arabella."
