Erwin and Levi were perched on the edge of the smaller's bedroom window, staring up at the night sky as they watched the sun setting behind the horizon and the stars lighting up the magenta coloured sky.
"Remind me why we're sitting here again?" Levi questioned with his pointed nose scrunching up and his eyebrows drawn together.
"Because," Erwin started, looking down at his boyfriend who was cosy next to him. "It's supposed to be a clear sky tonight, so we'll be able to see the constellations." He replied, looking back at the sky and the stars that were starting to appear.
"You're such a nerd." Levi scoffed, rolling his eyes.
"I could say the same for you, Lee," Erwin mumbled.
"How am I a nerd?" Levi turned, looking up offended at the blonde.
"You know what the best detergent is to remove stains from clothes. You know how to easily remove mould from tiles. You know which polish is best for wood-"
"Okay, okay. I get it."
Erwin smugly grinned, looking at the raven out the corner of his eye. Levi was sitting there with a small pout on his thin lips trying to seem angry but he looked more adorable in Erwin's eyes.
The silence between them wasn't awkward. It never was. They could sit like this for hours and never speak without getting bored or feeling uncomfortable. It's become something they do often actually. Spending time with each other and enjoying their presence, feeling comfort in the warmth of each other as they sit next to one another. It felt like they were home whenever they were together. Even if they were somehow stranded in the middle of nowhere, it wouldn't matter if they were with each other. Because that's all that mattered.
"What constellations are you supposed to be able to see?" Levi mumbled as he leaned into Erwin's side, resting his head on the blonde's shoulder.
"Well," Erwin smiled "There's one that's called phoenix. We should be able to see it in the southern hemisphere when the sun has fully set."
Levi hummed and wrapped his arms around the one he was leaning on, watching the sky slowly cascading into darkness.
The stars slowly became visible as the sky turned a dark purple colour, the light from the moon shining down on the two boys lighting up their skin like diamonds.
Levi's eyes were fixated on the blonde next to him, looking at the way his eyes were reflecting the glowing stars in the sky, watching them sparkling like glitter. It wasn't just the stars he could see in his eyes, he could also see the cute excitement he was feeling. The way his eyes were looking purely up at the sky expressed his emotions effortlessly to Levi, and the raven didn't know he'd see such beauty in his lifetime.
Levi was so caught up in Erwin's eyes he didn't even realise the blonde was talking to him as he pointed up at the stars, not until the blonde turned to look at Levi. When his eyes were staring directly into Levi's own, the smaller quickly realised and blinked himself back to reality.
"S-sorry, what were you saying?" Levi mumbled.
Erwin didn't answer, just stared.
"What?" Levi questioned, looking at Erwin like he was looking for the answer. "Erwin, what is it?" He repeated. The blonde smiled at him, the dimples on his cheeks deepening and his perfect smile making Levi feel weak sitting this close to him.
