His Greenie (Newt x Reader)

-Feelings?-

The Gladers kept on watching Newt and me while we were working and I'm getting uncomfortable...I cleared my throat, catching Newt's attention

"What?"

"Is it just me or are they staring at us?"

He frowned before looking around, "They aren't staring at all"

I frowned before I looked around myself, Newt's right, they aren't looking our way at all...I shook my head in confusion and continued picking berries.

Me, Thomas,Minho and Newt are eating our dinner when Chuck came to us holding an empty bottle

"Hey Chuck!" Minho greets, ruffling Chuck's curly locks...He smiled at Minho before fixing his hair back...

"Please don't tell me you weren't been drinking, you're way too adorable for such a thing" I say

Chuck frowned, "I wasn't been drinking and I'm not a little kid anymore" I shrugged

"What's the bottle for?" Thomas asks

Chuck smirked "I was thinking if we can play a little game"

I heard Newt groan, "Please not that game"

Chuck grinned at that and called the other gladers...including Alby

"What are you up to?" Alby asks once he arrived in our little area

"How about we play...Spin the bottle?"
"Yeah!" the rest cheered and sat down close to us...I hope this is fun

Once everyone was seated comfortably, Chuck explained the instructions "Golden Rule: No Backing Out once you get chosen"

Newt grumbled at that but the rest nodded in agreement

Chuck spun the bottle and I can't help but get nervous....The bottle slowly came into a halt and was pointed towards Gally

"Gally, Truth or Dare?" Chuck asks

"Dare" Gally says bravely...the gladers started cheering excited to see something amusing or interesting...

"Okay, I dare you to...make silly faces" Chuck says and I can't help but giggle...I always see Gally frown and being so serious that I'm actually excited for this

After a few moments. Gally started making silly faces, like pucker his lips and his eyes as big as saucers that I doubled over laughing...He did many more silly faces and my stomach is aching because I'm laughing way too much...I didn't care though...all the others are also laughing their heart out

"Okay....*giggle*...Stop please *giggle*" I managed to say after a while, Gally's face turned back to being serious but I can see a small smile creep into his face...we waited for a while before Gally spun the bottle....

"Newt" Gally announced, a playful smirk plastered on his face...and I can't help but get quite nervous about it

Newt sat up straighter, "Truth or Dare?"

"Dare"

I hear 'oohs' from the gladers, including Minho..."You do know you made a wrong choice right?" Alby asks...Newt just cleared his throat in response

"I dare you...to confess your feelings" Gally says...I frowned at that and all the murmurs were replaced by total silence....

"Make it precise" Newt says, confused

Gally chuckled as he sat up straighter,"Okay let me rephrase that...I dare you to confess to the greenie your hidden feelings for her"

Greenie...oh god...I hope he meant Teresa

"Oh and I meant the latest greenie" Gally says...shuck...I even saw Alby smirk..."Golden Rule Newt, No Backing Out"

Newt blinked several times before standing up...He turned towards me and walked closer...when he was about to take one more step, Thomas held out a hand...."That's as far as you can go now" Newt stopped and cleared his throat before looking back at me

"Y/N....You are a walking disaster and very clumsy" That made me frown, I was about to snap at him when he held out a hand..."But you made my life different, you somehow gave me hope and I thank you for that"...that took me off guard...I wasn't expecting that at all

"And...I enjoy your company...you would make me smile and would sometimes make me crazy but that's how I know that I'm still alive...what I'm trying to say is that...I like you Y/N" My heart his racing and I can't utter a single word....he said it and this time, he isn't drunk...

"I mean it" he says before going back to his place...Chuck cleared his throat and told Newt to spin the bottle...and just like fate is been messing around...the bottle pointed me

"Oooh, this gets better and better" Minho says, I looked at Newt, waiting for him to say something....

"Truth or Dare?" he asks...I felt relieved that he finally said something..."Truth" I blurted out before I can think it through

"With what I just said...will that affect our friendship? Will that make you avoid me?" I don't know but when he said 'friendship' I got quite disappointed but I smiled at him and shook my head

"No" and I see a smile creep up his face
