His Greenie (Newt x Reader)

-I wanna be a runner-

"H-How can that be? I don't have a sister" Thomas says looking at you in confusion...You shook your head in disbelief "You really don't remember me, do you?" he didn't answer making you sigh, "You disappeared and never came back home"

"Wait a minute, y-you remember? Do you remember who sent you here?" the blonde boy asked, hope clear in his brown eyes "I....can't remember anymore" you mumbled "All I remember is that I was looking for my brother and woke up in that moving box" The boy looked down and nodded

"Uh...who are you guys?" you asked breaking the silence, the girl looked at you and smiled "I'm Teresa, that's Gally and Minho" she said pointing at the other blonde boy with freckles and an asian boy...they waved at you slightly and you nodded "The name's Newt, Greenie" the blonde boy says...

'Greenie?' you asked yourself..."Okay, love to stay in chat but Thomas and I still has something to do" Minho said tapping Thomas in the shoulder...Thomas looked at you one last time before heading out..."Me too...still have work to do...see ya around greenie" Gally said before walking out making you frown at the word again

Newt tapped Teresa's shoulder "Show her around" and then walked out as well...Teresa turned to you and held out her hand for you to take "Come on, Let's go for a walk"

"So, what job do you want?" Teresa asks after orienting you...You bit your lip and looked around "I want to be....a runner" Teresa looked at you in shock

"No, you can't...especially if you're a g-"

"a girl?"

"a greenie"

You frowned yet again "That's the third time I heard that word today, Greenie, what does that mean?" Teresa smiled "It means newbie...it's a glade term" you nodded

"So uh...when do I start?" you asked making Teresa sigh "I told you, you can't just become a runner...you have to be promoted" you were about to ask when Newt came, "Did she pick a job yet?" Teresa turned to him and nodded "Well then, what is it?" Teresa was about to speak when you cut her off "I wanna be a runner" Newt looked at you with a blank face and then cracked a smile, amused

"Sorry shank, it doesn't work that way, you need to be promoted and being a runner isn't easy" he said making you groan "Promoted by whom?" He looked at you "By Minho or Alby...Even by me" you crossed your arms over your chest "Promote me then" He chuckled "You know what, I think you need to eat"

You shook your head "I'm not hungry"

"Look Gree-"

"Y/N"

"Look Y/N, Being a runner isn't a joke...you need to have the skills and if you don't, you'll kill yourself"

"I have the skills, I'm a fast runner just like Thomas"

He shook his head "You're working with me in the gardens"

"Bu-"

"No buts! I'm second in command and you do as I say, got it?"

You huffed and looked away "got it"

"Good, now come, time to work" He grabbed you by the wrist and led you to the gardens..."Have fun!" Teresa said before going her own way
