(Luar-ke Halkrath POV)

More than halfway through the night the thunderous rain and storm clouds had stopped, this was the good part.

The bad part?

Luar-ke Halkrath's main entrance and exit was flooded, the wall was now higher than his head, making him must slightly climb and hop onto his toes to see over it.

The water was just a foot below the top of the rocks, lucky the tree sap he used to block the gaps also helped hold the rocks together or else the wall would have fallen over him and flooded the cave fully.

Rubbing his head in sleepiness, he turned back down the tunnel to the exit where he gathered the tree sap from, grabbing his still drenched bag on the way, before leaving.

He emerged from the dull grey walls to the mostly dry blue green grass and the now bright cheerful sunlight.

Horrible bright and way to sunny.

Luar-ke Halkrath let out a slight grumble before stomping his way towards the dto.

After stomping through the more puddle covered areas Luar-ke Halkrath found a large stretch of dto that occupied strange cherry red trees with milky white stripe marking and leaves.

They reminded him of something, but he really didn't have the mind set to think of what.

So instead of standing there half asleep he walked up to the first one, looked up at where the first grouping of blood red berries hangs, these berries where about the size of an eye and had a slight glow like little glow lights.

He often does not eat these berries but due to the resent rain and the fact that the weather was turning to the rainy season they would be one of the only fruits in his area, any other fruits don't blossom until its less rainy to prevent the seeds from getting washed down to sea or completely flooded.

Qudidu berries, tangy tasting with a slight sourness, nothing special but the best food source during the times when it floods.

'I better grab a lot of these, I don't think the water is going down for a few days.' Luar-ke Halkrath said to himself, climbing up to the branch and grabbing the berries, in a swift move he opened his bag and place the berries with the same hand without losing his grip on the tree.

He repeated this action with the rest of the berries on this tree before moving to the next and the next one.

After four trees worth of berries, he dropped to the ground, letting out a slight uncontrolled chirp from the impact and stood up straight.

His brown bag was mostly dry now due to the bright sun, the bag itself was more round now due to the large amount of berries in it.

Luar-ke Halkrath looked around the environment before pitter pattering his way back home.

But no further than the first tree he had gathered fruit from did he hear the unmistakeable sound of hell hounds barking with excitement and aggression.

h'dlak and horror shot through his veins as Luar-ke Halkrath realized what it meant.

They had found him.

'HOW?!? How did they find me from all the way across the desert?' His head screamed as he bolted back to the tunnel, once he got there, he dropped his bag down the tunnel before grabbing bunch of large sticks from hereby.

Luar-ke Halkrath could still hear the barking of the hell hounds coming closer as he came back to the tunnel and placed the branches across the opening to form some sort of doorway.
