Reader POV:

"So this is your new van, it's amazing!" I said as I jumped in the back with Ian and Barley in the front driving.

"Thank you, Ian and I have had many adventures here, now remember, we can't let anything bad happen to 'nyphamortus', ok?" Barley was settling down in his seat.

"Oh yeah, definitely, but don't you think 'nyphamortus' is a bit long? Why don't we give him a name?" I thought of a good name for the little guy, "Oh I know, how about José?"

"José?" Ian asked, "that's oddly specific."

"No it's not, I just like the name." I scratched the top of José's head, in which he liked as he sort-of smiled.

"Ok, but don't get too attached to it." Ian raised his arms in defense, I rolled my eyes.

"Alright everyone, onward we go!" Barley put on his music for adventure, he has good taste.

Ian's POV:

After around three hours of driving in Gwenivire II, Y/N, Barley and I noticed it was around 10pm. So, we all decided to park in a nearby field for the night.

"Good thing I've got my hoodie, it looks cold out there." Y/N stated with a tiny chill.

"Alright, magic lovers, time to hit the hay!" Barley exclaimed, giving us each a blanket, we stared at him in confusion, but ignored him.

"Are you going to be alright, Y/N?" Ian asked.

"Of course I'll be fine, Ian, one time I just slept with the stars when I was five, never felt more comfortable."

"Right, you two, get some beauty sleep, I've got a spell I would like to try if we want to give back 'José'." Barley looked excited about this.

"And what might that be, Barley?" Ian asked with a raised eyebrow.

"Well, if we want to save your girlfriend's family, we need more magic, therefore, we need to find or create another staff or wand to match the magic itself. See, it's all in this book." Barley tossed a book at me.

"Wait, did you say 'girlfriend', Barley?" I asked with a tint of red on my face.

"Well, I only assumed that-"

"We're not dating, Barley. " Y/N said, also with a tint of red on her face.

"Suit yourselves, now, goodnight everyone!" Barley was asleep within a minute, while me and Y/N sat there, absorbing in what Barley thought of us two.

"He couldn't really have thought we-"

"No, of course not", I interrupted, redder than ever. "We should get to sleep."

"Yeah, goodnight, my love", she teased while laughing.

I threw a pillow at her for that sentence. She just laughed, but it didn't seem odd to me, what Barley thought. Oh no, could I be falling for her. No, of course not, could I?
