This chapter was inspired by the song  'I Love You So – The Walters' and a POV TikTok I saw by @oh_is_she_dead where you're in a toxic relationship with Rafe.

The night air felt cold on Ivy's skin which was trembling with sheer excitement, replaying the events that took place just moments ago she felt as though she could skip home if it hadn't been for the funny feeling in her legs that remained. As she walked down the docks she noticed that the party that once raged on at Michael Douglas' boat was now completely shut down and he was picking up empty cups on the deck, when he spotted Ivy he paused what he was doing and jumped off to greet her.

He was clearly quite intoxicated but that didn't change his handsome features, it was clear to her why so many girls fell at his feet and although Ivy had just come from Rafe she couldn't help but feel slightly nervous as Michael approached her. His presence daunting to her as an upperclassman.

"Where'd you go? You could've joined the party" he grinned

"I just walk around sometimes, clear my head" she lied

"Walk around in the direction of where the Cameron's boat is docked?" he quizzed

Ivy pursed her lips and gave a weak smile.

"I thought you weren't allowed to be around him?"

"Where'd you hear that?" Ivy chuckled

"Word travels fast in Kildare" he shrugged

Ivy pulled her hoodie tighter around her as the wind whipped and sent a shiver down her spine.

"Are you cold? We could go sit for a bit" Michael suggested motioning toward his boat

"I should really get home. My moms stressed with the move and stuff; I've been out long enough" she announced

Michael held out his hands and took hold of Ivy's spinning her around "Come on 5 minutes"

"I really shouldn't," Ivy said pulling her hand away

"Why? Because you're hung up on a college dropout with a coke problem?" he said his voice turning sour

"Because I have to get home. I'll see you later Michael" she nodded pulling away and making her way down the dock

This didn't seem to put Michael off however and he pursued her further, jogging to catch up to her and putting his hands on her once more as he backed her up against a beam on the dock, the wood felt uncomfortable on Ivy's back and she felt even more uncomfortable with the boy in front of her holding her to it. The smell of alcohol was strong on his breath, and he no longer seemed that handsome from her current viewpoint, he seemed angry and used to getting what he wanted.

After trying to kiss her Ivy kept her head turned and tried to wriggle her way out of his grasp, she felt around her jean short pockets in an attempt to find her phone but felt her heart drop when she soon realised she had left it on the Cameron's boat. Fear began to set in as she struggled against the boy.

"Michael let me go please" she begged

"Why won't you give me a chance. You gave Rafe plenty"

"I just want to go home" Ivy pleaded, her voice faltering as she held back tears

The older boy placed his hands on her hips and bare midriff, snaking them up to her body as she yelled stop and flailed her body in an attempt to get away. He didn't like her constant protesting and tightened his grip on her, pushing her harder into the wooden beam, so hard that Ivy's head began to ache, she let out another yell, shouting helplessly into the void in hopes of rescue before letting go of the idea that anyone was going to save her when she heard rapid footsteps running down the dock. Rafe. She screamed for his help as Michael tried to muffle her cries with his hand. Before his hand could cover her mouth Rafe had managed to get there and ripped the boy from the terrified girl's body.
