Sunghoon sat on the white tiled floor of the airport hands tucked in between his legs, leaning against Heeseung's shoulder, And with Jay's hands pushing around his hair to make little braids from behind. Jake turned directly towards him on the other side rubbing his knee and playing soft music out of his phone.

"You like this song right?"

He knew he liked it already. Jake always hears him playing it.

"Yeah. It's my favorite band."

"Is it?"

It is. He already knew.

"Mhm. Sunoo and I saw them in concert once when they came to Korea."

Jake smiled. He however, didn't not know that. It was genuine but it was a little sad. No one had actually brought up why they had been at the airport, of all places for so long now, but they didn't exactly want to. They only really knew someone was coming in from a flight at four, and that's it. Ten and Lisa were sleeping on the black seats, taking up way too much space, but he and the others couldn't find it in them to do the same when Sunghoon had been looking like he was drugged on some type of depressant ever since they got there. But the Bambam guy was getting along with Heeseung and Jay like he was a clone of them, so that's a plus.

Sunghoon had dried tears across his cheeks and messy hair when they got there. And he was sitting crossed-legged on the ground, looking off into space next to a boy, which Jake assumed to be Bambam. They all just sat down next to him and saw his phone face upwards with all the notifications of missed calls on the seat behind him.

Heeseung sat kneeled down in front of him and held his face, rubbing his cheeks saying "poor baby" and Jay thanked the guy who took him there for not letting him be dead or kidnapped. And Jake stood there frowning. He looked like a little kid with how his eyes were downturns like he just got grounded.

"Do you want a hug?"

Sunghoon had shook his head and looked away, brushing the hands off his cheeks and looking past him to Jake. Heeseung following his actions.

"... do you... want Jake to hug you?"

"Yes please."

Jake didn't mind when his knees hurt from kneeling between his legs and hugged him for at least thirty minutes. Cause Sunghoon's head felt nice against his neck, and his hair tickles his jaw. He felt like he was protected him from whatever was going on. And he liked that he wasn't freaking himself out.

It made him think though. About the train. And what he said to him.

"Because how the hell can you sleep normally while hugging me? Like if I tried to go to bed while hugging you I would go into cardiac arrest before even getting on the mattress. How does one even do that? How are you so calm about those things?"

He was so calm because he liked making sure others were calm. Which ultimately made him calm if he accomplished it. Sunghoon included. So he really wished he's stopped worrying so much, and that he'd let himself be comforted and held when he wasn't in such the need of it that he was crying or on a mental shutdown. That whole thing he said really made him think. Cause it probably meant he liked him. He's not stupid. But it also probably meant he wasn't ready for that kind of thing and he'll probably end up completely heartbroken just so that Sunghoon wouldn't be nervous or uncomfortable around him. He didn't even want to bring the train situation up in fear it would make him flip out.

He really is the nice guy. And nice guys finish last. He doesn't know why Sunghoon thinks about him like that. he didn't think he was worth all those words. Cause Sunghoon was worth a thousand times more. And all he had ever done was send him into endless upon endless of anxieties and overthinking. He wasn't even all the pretty like he said either. But when he let him hold him like that in the airport he felt like he was okay. That he finally had grasped onto him without worrying that he'd run away. He also knew he was fucked, because, he's had crushes before. So many crushes. And feeling like you never want to let go of someone because they are that comforting and precious, like they'd break if you touched them that hard, was way past that of just a crush.
