Aiden
He held her hand as he sat beside her. She was sleeping now.
She had a high fever.
Aiden looked at her , a strand of pink hair was tickling her cheeks. He pushed it back and gently and kissed her forehead.
Someone knocked at the door gently.
"May I come in?"
Duke Asher said in a low voice.
He nodded and went outside give him some space.
Aaron was waiting outside.
Both of them leaned against the wall and said nothing.
"Thank you for looking after my sister."
He said after a while.
Aiden didn't respond.
"Does , this happen Everytime? Does....she get sick..... every year like this?"
"..........yes"
He went outside after hearing this. This was weird. All of this was weird.
There was no way that he could just accept this so easily.
"Your highness .....your father has summoned you..."
"Okay......"
[At the main palace]
"Aiden come here."
"Yes?"
"We have a lead for the case you are working on...."
"Okay."
Annette
Her hands were warm. It felt good. Someone was holding her hands gently..
"I'm sorry.....I'm so sorry that you have to go through this every year....."
Trying to open her eyes , she heard someone talking.....
Everything was blurry and she heard a ringing sound in her ears.
"Annette......"
"You're awake."
Her father and Aaron were saying.
Annette tried to get up but she got dizzy. Aaron helped her sit straight.
"How do you feel?"
"My head hurts. It feels like everything is spinning."
"You'll be fine after taking this medicine."
Someone said.
"I..... don't want to eat the medicine."
"I'm sorry your grace but we have strict orders to take care of you until you get better. That means that you have to eat the medicine even if you don't want to."
