DISTANT LIGHT - A LESSON LEARNT
🦜🐾
Distant lights
In the far hills
The morning blaze of the sun
With its crude glow
And the glint of the moon
And its halo
With its soft glow
Or the lights other side of the river
Shedding its rays
Making water shimmery
I wonder why I like them?
I'm not a moth I swear
I search for them everywhere
When I'm in bus, car, train or whatever...
I wonder if it means something...
To me personally or even universally
Does it match something that I feel?
Or do they have abilities to heal?
When I see them I'm neither happy
Nor gloomy
Just tranquil
Just amicable
Depicting the gospel truth
Baby girl, you can't always have what you like
And what you see
That raw veracity
Just the life's simplicity
Everything or something we like
Is always or sometimes the distant light
I hope, in that case we are all alike
Distant light – a lesson learnt!
