ANAPHORICALLY RUNNING
🦜🐾
I ran to the running river
Running as fast as I could
I even ran over a cruel thorn
Tearing my heel
With my blood running out my body
I couldn't run anymore
When I reached the running river
I tried to run into the running water
The water unlike land failed to carry me
It let every step of me down
I gave up letting the water run over me
The chillness run over me
Running a shiver down my body
I ducked under the water
Burying me in loosely packed molecules
I let the river run above me
Rising above the now faster current
I let myself out the water
When my body let an achooo
Oh no! I might be running a temperature
I should run home and then into warm clothes
But damn it! I eventually ran a fever.
