THE GIGGLING OF THE LEAVES
🦜🐾
All alone I sat,
On a chilly morning,
With the pin drop silence accompanying;
I stare out the window
Woolgathering.
Humming a nostalgic song
She crosses my classroom, TO
Listening
And FRO
Staring!
Not ashamed
I hum again
Continuing my unbeaten talent "Boketto" (Japanese word: for staring into the distance)
The empty chairs and the desks
The black board and the broken chalks
That cool breeze
Broke the silence
No, breached the silence
It caused Susurration of the leaves
It wasn't a fully evolved Psithurism
Because it didn't have that whooshing
Just the soft whispers of the leaves
And them moving
Appeared to me like the leaves were giggling
The branches in the wind
Appeared to me like ships at sea, yawing
I loved the whole kalopsia
I wait for the rustling
My ears longing for the humming of the leaves
Will they hum with me?
Or will it be the other way around?
The green turned partial yellow
With that soft glow
And the clouds covered the sun again
Partial yellow turned green again
It's like I lived a season in an hour
And it looks like anytime the sky's gonna pour!
