WHAT ARE WE TAUGHT?

🦜🐾

We are taught how to ride bicycle

But we are never taught about the cramp "cycle"

We are taught how to fill ink in the pen when we are nine

Not how to differentiate bad men from good men

Don't forget we face crimes even when we are nine

We are taught how to be girly

But not to be us truly

We are taught and taught to teach good touch and bad touch

Will they ever learn not to do such?

We are taught the laws of Newton

And not to be a glutton

We are taught to ignore the wolf whistles

The cat calls

And the wrong phone calls

We are taught to ignore the dirty looks

The ambiguous talks

And the random stalks

We are taught how not to sit, where not to stand, what not to talk and wear

We are also taught dish washing, culinary and laundry

Because that is so disciplinary

When we master it, we are called the extraordinary

but who designed this geometry?

We all need to grow up from this rudimentary

For we are made with a heart, flesh, blood and bones

Not objects or robots made with metal, stick and stones

These are not the words of a misandrist or a feminist,

Not even a fully evolved artist

Just the broken words of a realist.
