*Y/n's POV*

Y/n had just finished the meal her new friends had given her. She was starting to fall asleep because of a belly full of food.

"Did Y/n like the food?" Khayla asks.

"It was pretty good. It's been a while since I last a meal this good," said Y/n with a smile.

"So where is Y/n from? Is Y/n from Elsweyr like Khayla?" Khayla takes the empty bowl from Y/n.

I can't let them know I'm not from here or anywhere. Or else I'd be burned at the stake, Y/n thinks to herself. "I don't remember. Everything about where I'm from is nothing but a haze."

"Khayla is confident that Y/n will remember in good time. Y/n should go rest now. The Dragonborn should be here before too much longer. Khayla will wake Y/n. Go use Khayla's tent for now."

"What about my new clothes and gear?"

"Go rest. Better to have a clear mind to make the right choice." Khayla points in the direction where her tent was. "Go sleep."

Y/n gets up from where she was sitting on the ground and makes her way towards Khayla's tent. She opens the curtain and steps inside, closing the curtain behind her. The tent had a desk, chair, a sleeping bag, and a wash basin. Y/n looks down at the sleeping bag. It was laying on a pile of straw so whoever used it won't be laying directly on the cold ground. But there was only one sleeping bag. "It won't feel right to use Khayla's sleeping bag. What if she decides to retire for the night as well?" Y/n thinks it over for a few minutes before deciding to use the sleeping bag. Khayla said Y/n could use her tent for the time being. Not much time passes before Y/n drifts off to sleep.

Y/n awakens much later when she hears voices outside of the tent. Two of which she recognized, belong to Khayla and Ri'saad. The other she did not recognize. It could have been belonging to either Atahbah or Ma'randru-jo. But whoever the new voice belonged to, they didn't talk like the Khajiit do.

"Where is she? I left you with you guys before heading to High Hrothgar," said the new voice whom Y/n didn't recognize.

"She's asleep. I'll go wake her up," said Khayla. She goes to her tent and opens up the curtain, light from the campfire filtering into the tent. "Y/n it's time to wake. The Dragonborn is here."

Y/n yawns and stretches. She pushes herself out of the sleeping bag. "Thank you for letting me use your tent and sleeping bag, Khayla."

"Khayla is glad you were able to get a good night's rest. Now come and meet are guest. He is worried about you."

"He?"

"The Dragonborn. He is the one who saved you and asked us to help you until his return."

Y/n gets up to her feet and leaves the tent. As her eyes adjust to the campfire light, she sees a tall figure whom she believed is the one who is the Dragonborn. "Um...hi," said Y/n shyly.

The Dragonborn, who wore Ebony armor minus the helmet, had a dragonbone sword strapped to his hip, and a glass bow strapped to his back. He was of the Dunmer race. He had long black hair, radish eyes, and paleish blue skin with a grey tint to it. His pointed ears peaked out from beneath his hair (He looks just like the picture at the beginning of the chapter if you want a better visual).

Y/n could feel a slight blush creeps across her cheeks at just the sight of the Dragonborn. "I never gotten your name so how can I properly say thank you to you."

"My name is Fervyn. I found you out in the snow outside of Bleakfalls Barrow on a return trip to rid the place of bandits," said Fervyn.

"Well thank you, Fervyn. Thank you for saving my life."

"Then allow me to take you to Whiterun. I have a home there that you can use during your stay here in Skyrim for the meantime."

"Wait what about..." Before Y/n could finish her sentence, Khayla puts a leather backpack in her hands.

"I've taken the liberty of picking out an outfit for you and some gear. Once you get some Septims, come back to visit us to get some more supplies. Khayla is excited to see you return, my friend," said Khayla with a slight purr to her voice.

Y/n bids good-bye to Ri'saad and his caravan before she leaves with Fervyn. "So why am I staying in Whiterun?"

"I have a house in Riften that I'll be acquiring in a few days we will be going to stay at. Then we'll be traveling to Solestein by boat. I have a few things I need to take care of there," said Fervyn.

Y/n follows Fervyn. It felt weird to her that a complete stranger like him was being nice to her. She was used to people being nice to her because of her job status, rarely as a friend. "Not to be rude to ask but why are we traveling so much?"

"Being a Dragonborn, I tend to go wherever I am needed. I help people on the way but also running into trouble as well. We'll need to get you a better set of armor later before we hit Solestein." Fervyn leads Y/n to the gates of Whiterun before being let into the city. "Also if you'd like, you can pick up an odd job here and there from the Jarl's steward. You look like the type who enjoys some work. If not, you can help me out with my jobs I've been given to by the Jarl's," said Fervyn with a smile.

By the nines I'm falling for the Dragonborn, Y/n thinks to herself as she feels herself blush again.
