System Crash (Skyrim Various x Fem!Reader)

First missions...I mean Quests

*Y/n's POV*

Y/n knew that she wouldn't be starting off with missions right of the bat with the Companions. She had to work her way up, plus she needed the Septims so she could buy stuff she needed. It has been over a month already since Y/n had broken down crying in Khayla's arms.

"Just like the game, the Companions have you do their errands," mumbles Y/n to herself as she goes up the steps to the Sky Fordge to have Eorland Gray-Mane sharpen Vilkas's sword. She wasn't in the mood to be dealing with either Farkas or Vilkas, but it had to be done.

Normally, it wouldn't be as bad to do errands but today of all days, it was raining. Y/n wasn't wearing anything to keep herself dry from the rain other than her armor and the clothes she wore beneath thr armor. But instead of wearing leather armor, Y/n was wearing steel armor. She planned on making herself some ebony armor at some point before trying to get her hands on some Daedric armor. "I was told by Vilkas to bring this to you. Does he normally make new recruits do his errands for him?" Y/n asks.

Eorland Gray-Mane puts down his hammer as he was getting ready to work the Sky Fordge. "We were all whelp once. We just don't like to talk about it." He looks Y/n over. "So you are the one who newly joined the Companions. But I heard that Fevryn is helping you out as well."

"Yes, sir, that is true." Y/n and Eorland talk for a but before he gives her the next task.

"I need you to bring Aela her shield. My wife is in mourning and I have work to be done in the fordge," said Eorland as he hands Y/n Aela's shield.

Y/n takes the shield from Eorland. "I'll go bring Aela her shield right away." She turns and heads down the steps. She had to be careful and watch her footing so she didn't slip. Y/n was already well aware of how bad of a fall she'd take if she wasn't careful. She makes her way into Jorrvaskr to go find Aela.

Y/n looks around room only to figure out that Aela was downstairs in the living quarters. "She's probably talking to Skjor." As Y/n heads down the hall, she could hear voices up ahead. She heads into the room on the end and finds Aela talking to Skjor. "Here's your shield, ma'am," said Y/n as she hands Aela her shield.

"Thank you, Y/n. I was wondering when I'd get this from Eorland. So how do you like being with the Companions so far?" Aela asks.

"It's alright so far I guess. I'm not one to do errands but I guess you have to start somewhere I guess."

"Since we got the small stuff taken care of, go find Farkas. I'm sure he'll have some stuff for you to do as well."

Y/n bids Aela and Skjor goodbye before heading back upstairs. Well I'm kinda in a pickle. My fighting skills, well when it comes to sparing, are pretty good. But when it comes to actually fighting, I'm not sure if I can handle this, Y/n thinks to herself. During her stay in Whiterun, since Fevryn left for Riften over a month ago, Y/n has been trying to train how to fight. So far she has been lucky that, in some weird happenstance, she has the perk tree like she does if she was playing Skyrim itself. She didn't fully understand how it worked but she is so far really good with one-handed weapons. Two-handed like greatswords and battle axes were a bit hard for her to use still. She was strong but she wasn't that strong yet. Before I leave Whiterun, I need to check my stats, especially my stamina. That way if I find stuff along the way, I can be able to carry it back.

Y/n prepares herself for her trek to Mouldering Ruins. She didn't know if she would be up to snuff fighting vampires, since the main target was a vampire lord. Vampire Thralls she could fight but a vampire lord? Now that had her worried. But the biggest question that came to mind is if she could get infected and become a vampire?

Y/n heads down to Whiterun Stables to buy herself a horse. On her way down she runs into Khayla and her caravan.

"Y/n!" Khayla runs up to her friend. "Where's Khayla's friend going off too?"

"I'm heading to Mouldering Ruins to fight vampires. The Companions are having me do that as my first quest."

"Vampires?!" Khayla's ears flatten back. "Ri'saad has someone to help with that!" Khayla drags Y/n to Ri'saad's tent. "Y/n needs help!"

Ri'saad looks up at Khayla. "What does Y/n need help with? Y/n is not a cub who needs help a lot," said Ri'saad.

"Y/n is going to fight vampires. She needs things to help."

"Oh!" Ri'saad'a look of irritation soon changed to worry. "Ri'saad does have some things to give to Y/n to help her on her quest."

Y/n watches Ri'saad disappear into his tent and come out with a bag. He gives it to Y/n.

"Im this bag are Potions of Cure Disease and a necklace that will help ward off the vampire's magic. Ri'saad doesn't want to lose his friend to vampirism."

Y/n takes the bag from Ri'saad. "How much do I owe you?"

"It's free. Y/n has helped Ri'saad enough as it is. Ri'saad would rather have his cub return home safe."

"Thank you...." Y/n stops for a second to process what Ri'saad had just called her. "Did you just call me your kid, Ri'saad?"

"Ri'saad was planning to ask Y/n if she would like to be a part of Ri'saad's family but seeing as how Y/n has gone to great lengths to help Ri'saad out, Ri'saad has already welcomed the fact that Y/n is already a part of Ri'saad's family."

Y/n goes to hug Ri'saad. "You've done well making sure I have what I need and making sure I was safe when Fevryn brought me to you guys. Thank you."

"Y/n needs to come back safe so Ri'saad can make her a big bowl of Elsewyre fondue."

Y/n bids goodbye to Ri'saad and his caravan, making sure to put the bag into her backpack. "Now off to Mouldering Ruins."
