*Y/n's POV*
Y/n enters Tundra Homestead, locking the door behind her. She sets her leather pack down and takes out the letters she hasn't opened yet. The three letters had no names as to who they were from. Y/n opens the first one.
Y/n,
This is the best way for us to talk to each other. We kinda have an idea as to what happened during the testing session back at Teminus. We believe there is a mole working with us. How else would the attack happen right when you were busy working out the bugs for the VR gear? So until we have a chance to meet face to face again, I'll be sending you these letters. Also with this letter is a package with a lump sum of Septims in it. I know you are trying to make a living in Skyrim now.
Love, Ethan.
Y/n puts the letter away and opens up the package. True to his words, Ethan did give her a lump sum of Septims. What he didn't mention was how much. In the package was ten thousand Septims. But what confused Y/n the most was the fact at how little the package weighs. "Ethan I didn't need this many Septims." She puts the gold away and goes to check out the bedroom.
In the bedroom was a double bed and two small beds for two kids if Y/n chose to adopt two kids or if she was stuck in Skyrim long enough, kids of her own. There were some books on the book cases and a statue of the deity of Akatosh on the shelf over in the corner. There were couple pair of boots and a backpack in the corner. Y/n leaves the bedroom and goes to check out the kitchen.
The kitchen was a little small. It didn't have a brick oven but it did have a cooking pit over the fire. The cabinets were stocked up with a few cooking ingredients.
The small room where the alchemy table had a cabinet fully stocked with potion ingredients. There was a desk which had broken soul gem shards on it and a few other random items.
Y/n opens the trap door and climbs down the ladder to the armory. Inside the room were mannequins to put full sets of armor or armor pieces on them. "At least these mannequins are not like the ones in the house over in Riften," said Y/n to herself. She recalls the day where she went into Skyrim for bug testing in Riften. She had to stay an entire day and night in the house. Y/n remembered waking up to find herself being watched by four of the mannequins. She left that very night. Y/n didn't care about the bug testing at that time. Those mannequins creeped her out.
Y/n leaves the armory and climbs back up the ladder. But before doing so, she makes sure the gated door to the armory was locked. Even though Tundra Homestead didn't have the same problem as Riften with the mannequins, Y/n didn't want to take a chance.
Later that night, as Y/n was reading one of the many books that can be found in Tundra Homestead, there was a knock at the front door. Y/n gets up from her chair and goes to answer the door. She opens the door and sees Khayla on the other side. "Khayla? What brings you here?"
"Khayla brings Y/n a house warming gift." In Khayla's hands was a rather large basket with a blanket over it. She lifts the blanket up and it was filled all sorts of foods you could make in the kitchen or buy from the ships. "Khayla thought Y/n didn't have enough food in her kitchen so Khayla decided to give Y/n food!" She smiles, showing her sharp teeth. Even though some wouldn't perceive the Khajiit as smiling, she was.
"How much do I owe you?" Y/n asks as she pulls out her coin purse to give Khayla some Septims.
"Y/n does not owe Khayla anything for the food. The basket and blanket are yours as well. Khayla wants Y/n to visit the caravan when it stops in Whiterun so that Khayla can know her friend is doing okay."
Y/n takes the basket from Khayla. She could feel a lump beginning to form in her throat. Khayla and her group from the caravan, since day one, treated Y/n with kindness and respect. Even though the Khajiit got a bad reputation being labeled as theives, treated Y/n as she was one of their own. Y/n goes to set the basket down in the kitchen before going back to Khayla, wiping tears from her eyes.
"Is Y/n crying? Why is Y/n crying? Did Khayla do something wrong? Khayla didn't mean..." Khayla was caught by surprise when Y/n threw her arms around her and started to cry. Y/n missed her family and with Khayla showing the kindness that she did, made Y/n realize how homesick she was.
