Melting the ice
Sunlight streaming through the window woke jungkook the next morning. Y/n's soft skin and lean body were pressed tight against his and they were tangled together in their sheets.
Jungkook looked down at her peaceful face as she breathed lightly against his bare chest.
The sun shone on her soft cheeks, and her full lips, still a bit red and swollen from his kisses, curved into the hint of a smile.
Jungkook wondered what she was seeing in her dreams to cause that smile. Tracing his fingertips along the slight curve of her strong arms, Jungkook thought about the unexpected turn his life had taken. He'd always thought he'd live alone, never had he thought he'd meet a little girl who would make him a father, and even less had he thought he'd ever meet a woman who made him want to settle down.
Settle down.
Settle down, those two words scared the great Jeon Jungkook damn near to death.
Since Ala and her mama had come into his life was the simple and complete answer to that question.
Jungkook let out a slow breath and gently kissed y/n's dark hair. She groaned lightly and her eyelids fluttered open. Jungkook looked down into those brown eyes and realized that maybe that wouldn't be such a bad sight to wake up to every morning from here on out.
"Good morning" she whispered, curling her body closer against his.
Jungkook smiled down at her. "Good morning, except it's closer to noon."
Y/n's eyes widened as she looked toward the clock in the corner. "I have never laid asleep in bed this long!"
"You needed the rest," Jungkook assured her. "We both did"
Y/n's teeth began nibbling at her pink bottom lip and Jungkook sighed. "What?"
"I told you to stop nibbling your lips"
When the both of them had gotten married there hadn't been any guests and they had simply signed the paper at the courthouse back east and listened to a judge say a few words about the sanctity of marriage. It had been necessary because their families had been gone and there'd been no one to invite.
Y/n had wanted something different with Jungkook. She'd wanted a small affair with her friends and with Ala. She'd wanted to stand up with Jungkook and claim him hers for everyone to hear.
Y/n could hear voices laughing and talking with her brother in the yard of the house, after having her birthday party. The relationship between these two got Jungkook jealous many times from Jin, her husband could feel the strong relationship they got between them.

Y/n felt her strong arms snake around her middle and she was pulled back into his broad chest. She breathed in his strong scent she relaxed against him.
