A straight oneshot because I love Jenna and Tyler just as much as I love Joshler

Tyler sighed, closing down his laptop.  He had just finished a particularly sad Joshler fanfiction, one where he'd ended up succumbing to Blurryface's power.  Even though Blurry wasn't "real", the idea that he and Josh could be separated worried Tyler.  He pushed his chair back from the desk and stood up.

As he did, Jenna walked by.  Noticing his gloomy expression, she asked, "Hey, what's wrong?"

"Oh, nothing... I just read a sad story," Tyler explained.  "I was thinking of going for a walk to clear my mind."

"Alright.  Do you mind if I come with you?" Jenna asked.

"Not at all," Tyler smiled at his wife.

The couple headed outside and walked down the sidewalk.  Jenna slipped on a pair of sunglasses and placed an arm around Tyler's shoulder.  In return, Tyler lay his head against Jenna's shoulder, lost in thought.

Man, I love Jenna so much.  But... does she know that? I mean, I do look at a lot of Joshler fanfiction.  I hope she doesn't think I love Josh more than her.  Tyler's mind began to race, thinking of all the ways he could have possibly displeased his wife.  I need to show her just how much I appreciate her, Tyler thought, determined.  He began to brainstorm on the walk home.

Once Jenna and Tyler reached their house, Tyler immediately went to his studio.  Not to record music -- although that was a PERFECT excuse if Jenna asked -- but to write down his ideas.  He found that writing things down helped him focus on them, and this is what he'd come up with:

~Make dinner
~Sing a song
~Write another song about her
~Buy her flowers

"Hmm.  Probably not another song.  As much as she'd enjoy that, it's too time consuming... not that I don't care enough about her to do that or anything," Tyler felt guilty as soon as the words came out of his mouth, even though Jenna wasn't there.  "Ahh... I guess I could make her dinner.  And buy her flowers.  Simple -- and yet still shows my love!"

Suddenly, Tyler deflated.  "But what to make?" Tyler opened his computer, searching up possible recipes, until he decided on something simple:

"Filet mignon!"

Tyler checked the fridge to make sure he had all the ingredients.  A cut of meat... butter... a little bit of parsley for seasoning... yeah.  "Okay! I can do this.  It's not that hard," Tyler reassured himself.

Okay.  It was hard.  VERY.

Tyler didn't have much experience with cooking, seeing as he and Josh mostly ate out on tours.  He never had much opportunity to learn, really.  So he was left to read the recipe and hope for the best.

Tyler switched on one of the stove burners, waiting for it to heat up.  As he waited, the singer coated the steak with salt and placed half a stick of butter, some garlic cloves, and fresh herbs to a pan.  Then, he began to heat the pan in order to make the butter melt.  Once the butter was fully melted, Tyler put in the steak, thinking he was finished.

Of course, he wasn't.  Apparently, the steak needed continual butter poured on it to stay soft.  That, and it needed to be flipped over so it DIDN'T BURN.

But Tyler didn't flip the steak, or add butter.  And so it burned.

At the sound of the smoke alarm, a panicked Tyler raced into the kitchen.  "Oh God, oh God, oh God!!! I burned it!! NOOOO!!" Tyler raced around, too alarmed to think straight and try to fix his problem as much as possible.

Of course, the smell of burning steak also attracted Jenna, who walked into the kitchen, a look of concern on her face.  "Tyler, what's up?" she asked.  Then, Jenna noticed the pan on the stove, with a small, flaming object inside.  "Oh."

"Ahhhh, nooo!" Tyler wailed.  "This wasn't how it was supposed to go! I was trying to make you something special because I feel like you think I don't appreciate you, and that's not true at all, I love you so much Jenna, even more than I love Josh!" Tyler blurted out, frantic.

"Whoa, whoa.  Calm down! I don't think that at all," Jenna replied, placing a calming hand on her husband's shoulder.

Tyler moved his hands away from his face.  "You... you don't?"

"Of course not, silly! I wouldn't have married you if I didn't think you appreciated me," Jenna explained.

Tyler sniffed back a few tears.  "Alright.  Thanks, Jen."

"No problem," Jenna replied, pecking Tyler on the cheek and making him blush.  She had a way of doing that... making him feel like a first grader seeing his crush on the playground.  Tyler smiled and wrapped his arms around Jenna, returning the kiss.  Even if his dinner date hadn't gone as planned, he felt content all the same.  Jenna still loved him, and he still loved her.
