||•••||"Who's that? A celebrity?"
"He's so pretty!!!"
"Platinum hair?! Is his son studying here? I wish my dad would dye his hair like that."
"Haha, your dad? He will look so ugly. He's not as cool as that uncle."
"DADDY!" Killua looked over his sunglasses, hands tugged in his coat. He smirked when he saw the pride pouring off his child's eyes. He jumped into Killua's arms who squeezed his bones tightly. "Oof, Daddy misses me so much."
"Don't you miss me, too?"
"I do!"
They broke the hug and Killua took his sunglasses off. "Let's go eat out today."
"Both you and me?!"
"Yep!" Killua stood up and turned around. He halted when he saw the students surround him and Elie.
"Elie? Is this uncle your dad?" A girl asked curiously. Killua glanced at his son who was tightly grasping his hand.
"Yes. He's my daddy."
"Ohh, he's so pretty!" Another girl replied. Killua squeezed the bridge of his nose, a little annoyed.
Didn't their teacher teach them the difference between pretty and handsome?
"I know. No need to tell me." Full of pride, Elie replied. "My other dad is also handsome! I love them so much."
"Elie, let's go." Killua tugged his child and they walked towards the gates. "It seems better at school?"
"I…" Elie trailed off for a second and Killua patiently waited for him to continue. "I fought with Drake."
"Oh?"
"Yes. I told him that he has an ugly personality and he needs to change if he wants everyone to love him truly." Killua whistled. "I told him that because everyone is scared of him, they blindly follow him, but when he gets weak, he'll fall and everyone will turn their backs on him."
"How savage. I pity the kid." Killua snickered, a little satisfied and a little surprised that his son had such a thing to say to his bully. He personally came here to take a glimpse of Drake.
He doesn't want to interfere and fight a kid, but he wants to make sure that his son is holding up against the bullies. When parents are attentive, bullies either pause or increase their bullying.
Killua hopes that he's done the right thing by showing up.
"He was so shocked!" Elie laughed. The satisfaction in his voice warmed Killua's heart.
"I'm glad you're holding up, Chubs." They crossed the road, that's where Killua took Elie's backpack from him. "If you need my help in anything, never hesitate to ask me."
"Of course!"
"Now, where do you want to go?"
"A pasta selling place. I want Alfredo."
"You picky eater." Killua ruffled his hair and they walked side by side.
Just like Elie wanted, they went to a nearby restaurant to order Alfredo. "—So my PE teacher forced me to do push-ups. It was so painful, Daddy. I swear I've heard some bones crack."
Killua smiled and continued listening. Although his pupils moved to his black-screened phone from time to time, his mind was focused on Elie's events, full of curiosity to know how Elie is spending his days.
