A ThreatPersonalities in the Dark

He tightened his grip on Killua's waist and their foreheads felt like walls colliding on each other. Gon's eyes couldn't stray away from Killua's lips.
He wanted to devour him, but that'll be after he tells him what he wants to know.
"Promise."
Killua remained silent. He weighed his options. Gon threatened him just now. And it wasn't an empty threat.
He was sure of it.
"What do you mean that… you'll break me?"
Gon let out a long sigh, then snuggled into Killua's neck. "You better not know, Killua."
"Oh, yeah?"
"You know how much I hate it when someone breaks a promise."
Killua knows.
Instead of fighting again aimlessly, he decided to promise him anyway.
He left everything because of Gon because he truly loves him. Whatever he's doing, Killua knew he was too attached to leave. At least, not forever.
"I promise."
"You promise me what?"
"I promise that I won't freak out, I won't break up with you whatever the reason you tell me is, and I won't take Elie away from you."
"Good." Now, Gon hid his face into Killua's neck, fully and clearly avoiding his gaze. He sniffed Killua's scent and released a jaded sigh, which got Killua anxious.
He put his hands on Gon's shoulder, knees weakened from standing on them. That's when Gon started, "I didn't lie to you about my job."
He tightened his grip on Killua's waist, almost squeezing him to pain. His breath tickled Killua's sensitive neck, too, but he didn't object. "I am a petrol truck driver."
Killua wanted to fuss over it again, but something told him to be silent and just listen. "That's the external image of it." His heart skipped a beat.
"What?" He mumbled.
"As I said, it's the cover image of what I'm truly doing, Killua."
Killua dared push Gon a little of him to look him in the eye. But Gon didn't dare look up. He just closed his eyes, and his arms were too stubborn to let Killua go. "My real job is way too secretive, okay? I can't tell you what I'm doing or why I'm doing it or who's the party I'm working with."
"A mafia…" Killua's words escaped without his will. He tried to maintain a solid grip over Gon's shoulders so he wouldn't let him notice that his nerves were shaking like a leaf.
However, his knees gave up so he sat on Gon's thighs instead of standing on them. "Not necessarily. I can't tell you who they are. But, my work does and doesn't hurt certain people."
"What do you mean?" Killua murmured, his trembling started to become obvious with each new word Gon was sputtering.
"What I mean is, it doesn't necessarily have to hurt people. It helps other people, too." His words were calculated and cautious. It felt like he was dealing with a vulnerable being that he's worried about breaking.
"I admit, my job is lowkey dangerous, but not in all aspects."
"Did you know about it?" Killua mumbled.
