Sitting on the warm set of grass with the wind letting the grass dance gracefully. (Y/n) placed a set of flowers on the grave. The euphoric feeling of the atmosphere takes its toll to (Y/n) mood contrary to the place they visited. She is now happy and her heart filled with contentment.
It has been two weeks ever since the day she disappeared in the underground society. She had thought that the mafia would thoroughly search for her maybe try to take her in again, bathing her with more crimes that would stain more of her petite hands wielding a knife or gun. So far from the information Dazai told her, there weren't any actions that the Port Mafia intend to search for her or the former youngest executive. Maybe an incompetent person like her wasn't worth searching for but being skeptical about the Mafia not wanting to search for them. She knew the mafia doesn't make any rash and illogical decisions with Mori Ougai as boss. He is an epitome of a logical and calm leader. Normally, they should be brought back in the mafia by force, but a relief for the both of them that they needn't trouble themselves into hiding.
She thought that being basked in light would help her to atone her sins for the torture and killing that she committed, afraid that she would be punished and be treated like an incompetent human the time when she was still in the mafia. Yet a mere two weeks couldn't make up to the sins she has to atone, dying isn't a best way to atone either, it is similar to running away from the responsibilities that she had to shoulder. That's why she wants to fulfill Oda's wish to live a normal life. Not alone, but with Haruko on her side.
Now, there she was sitting in front of the grave of her father figure with his name engraved in the gravestone. They felt the wind blissfully swaying the trees. Its euphonic rustling along with the birds chirping was like a music to her ears. Haruko was there too, sitting beside his sister who stared at the grave, no word was escaping between their lips, just simply enjoying the peaceful silence that showered upon them.
A faint squelching footsteps are heading to their direction. There weren't much people had visited the cemetery that day, the rhythm of the footsteps going along with the natures peacefulness and music. Making a peaceful entrance throughout the cemetery as their shoes kissing the pavement emitting a faint clicking with a faint squelching sound. She looked from behind wanting to know the person heading to them, seeing a drenched male heading their way. Dazai was completely soaked with water. It wasn't raining at all nor the clouds painted a grayish hue due to the clouds gathered and started pouring its liquid to the ground. Haruko sweat-dropped in seeing the male drenched.
'He attempted to submerge in the river again' Haruko and (Y/n) simultaneously thought. Both of the children are getting quite used to the Dazai's antics, who suddenly disappeared without notice then calling them to fetch him from his attempts in suicide or abruptly showed himself with his clothes completely drenched, disheveled, or covered with dirt.
Dazai held a carefree glee in plastered in his face greeting them with his hand lifted and waved at the children.
"Dazai-nii, you should go home and get dry clothes. You might get sick" she said void of concern. She never once thought being with this man this past few days could bring her a bit of misfortune despite respecting is intellect and prowess. Dazai was somewhat hurt of the bland display of concern she showed, using both of his hands dramatically clutching the hem of his coat where his heart located. For a moment she wanted to agree with Chuuya that being tormented by this man and dealing with his antics is what they despise the most. She wasn't tormented, rather dealing with his antics including his sudden disappearance and continuous lust for suicide yet always failed in every attempt as they both continue to retrieve him from the grievances of the citizens who was caught up with his mess. It was exhausting and infuriating. It was like dealing with an enormous child who get lost and get into trouble for a moment you take your eyes of him.
