A loud phone call disrupted her sleep as the sun had already penetrated through the curtains. Her hands instinctively reached out towards her phone, which was placed just beside her futon, with her eyes still half-lidded. It has been a few days since she sojourned to Tokyo and left her letters for Haruko to deliver, to make it seem that she never went home.

She immediately picked up her phone and placed it to her ears, but then a young man's voice echoed in her ears. "(L/n)-san, please come to the Agency as soon as possible." He sounded urgent yet also sounded reluctant, as an incoherent sound of grumbling and glass crashing was heard. Her eyes blinked, and she immediately started to prepare herself so that she could immediately go to the Agency by foot.

She briskly walked towards the Agency after she heard that there was an emergency. She was alarmed, yet she tried to be calm. By far the Agency do involve in dangerous cases and such. She has already witnessed one firsthand, and it made her reach the conclusion that the Agency. Despite the minimum number of gifted employees, they are strong and smart intellectually, and some are in combat. That's why she had no qualms but remained alarmed as she briskly walked towards the Agency doors.

The door had a gold-like plank that had been hanging on the door with the name of the Agency's name. She collected herself and then proceeded to twist the knob to open the door. She was taken aback by what she saw—all of the tables and windows were broken and shattered. When she tilted her head towards the corner, there she saw unfamiliar faces who were tied tightly by a rope.

"Ah," she realized as she sighed deeply.

"Was there another unexpected raid that was taken care of?" She asked, yet her facial features showed calmness and looked like this was more of a usual occurrence. She walked slowly towards the men who were bound with a rope, their expressions becoming more terrified with each step she took. She crouched and looked at them in the eye, her face displaying a nonchalant manner. "These men stormed into the agency after being duped by the information they obtained." A timid voice was heard from behind. A young man with chestnut hair, dressed in a beige sweater with a red hooded jacket wrapped around his waist. He was a newly recruited young man in the Agency and was a few years older than her.

"They must have been migrated here from another prefecture where they were unaware of the agency's operations." She wondered as she stood up and looked at the infuriated blond writing on his notebook. "Due to this, the Agency's budget would be drained for the repairs. This is the worst predicament." Kunikida grumbled.

"I couldn't help but agree." She sighed as she gazed once more at the office, which was in a tremendous state.

"Will the police be retrieving them?" She asked nonchalantly as her fingers pointed to the tied men beside her. "Actually, there is no need." Ranpo hopped down from one of the office desks, clutching a candy.

"You will be the one taking them there!" He happily said, munching the food that he had on hand with the candy he held, which was now placed in one of his pockets.

"May I take Tanizaki-san with me as well?"

"Sure sure." He nodded instantly.

"That would be convenient for him to know more about our operations." Kunikida agreed, as (Y/n) only closed her eyes and slightly nodded in understanding, it was an optimal and wise choice.

She and Tanizaki asked their permission to leave with the culprits, who were tied. They were freed from the rope, but then there, resting on their wrists, were their handcuffs. It was always unusual, but she could not help but wonder why she would be the one who would take these men to the police, as they could drive their way to the Agency's main and only office. Ranpo said there is no need... but why?
