"What is your motive for bringing me here?"
Haruko's tone was doubtful, with his brows creased in displeasure and his foot tapping against the concrete. Eyes were led towards the door that stood in front of him with the person who took him from his unbothered morning. He was supposed to sit on the soft couch, sipping the juice box that was occupying a section of the fridge. He was called, saying that there was an abrupt meeting that took place in the shrine. This made him frown as someone took away his moment of tranquility. He was skeptical since Mikey never told him anything regarding any Toman meetings, as he usually told him beforehand and then dragged him along with an unwillingness that contorted his features.
Why bother calling him? He wasn't even a Toman member from the very beginning of its foundation.
Much to his displeasure, the door that stood in front of him wasn't the place that he was told to go. He then started to ask that question since he had become skeptical of the person who stood beside him.
His sister always taught him that he should be conscious of his surroundings. Human body language can differ in their intentions if they are incapable of concealing them, as well as their choice of words.
"I suspect that there is no meeting that would take place, is there?" He glared at the person beside him. It was none other than Shiba Hakkai. He explained that he told a lie without thinking. Haruko can see the nervousness in his eyes. He couldn't fathom why he should be nervous since he is only a year younger than the vice captain in Mitsuya's division. Was it because he is Mikey's proclaimed brother? Thinking so made the boy feel his blood boil and think that they were simply stupid. He can be beaten up if people wants to. He is just a boy, a young one that people shouldn't be nervous about. But then again, with him being beaten up, the news will be heard immediately by Mikey, who can immediately lead them to their unconsciousness and be led to the hospital for any possible injury that needs treatment by professionals.
(Y/n) would probably be a different case. If his brother was being beaten up to lure Mikey in, Haruko concluded that (Y/n) would threaten them, and if possible, she might kill them if she was still in her former occupation. He knew that his sister wouldn't kill people anymore, yet thinking so made him absolutely terrified. His thoughts sent a shiver down his spine. "I think it's best to take advantage of Mikey-kun's reputation," he muttered.
He gazed at the blue-haired teen, who had stiffened under his gaze. He began delving into his thoughts. from the meetings that he had attended in the past. He could not understand the basis of the hierarchy of the biker gang Mikey established. Was it the basis of their prowess in their strength and intellect, or was it based on the bond they share?
He had observed that the division captains were mainly composed of the friends that Mikey cherished, so he deduced that the captains should only be the ones that Mikey trusted. In other words, Mikey's long-term friends.
He also detested being labeled only as the mere brother of Mikey and not someone who took him seriously for being 'Haruko'. Let alone that label, which had already been embedded in the minds of those who knew and noticed his presence. He didn't want the attention that was bestowed on him by the blond leader, but it was inevitable. Being Mikey's brother was enough of a burden he could shoulder, yet he was astonished by Mikey's charismatic nature.
