6th-7th year
.
They were back at Hogwarts for their sixth year and Sirius never felt better.
With the best summer he ever had and the boyfriend he's been pining after for years, it couldn't get any better to him.
"James."
Sirius and Remus decided that it was time to tell James about them, seeing as there was no way to hide since they shared a room with him. They knew James was oblivious, so they wanted to tell him.
Peter was sitting next to James as well.
"Yeah, moony?"
"Me and Remus are- we're- uh," he stammered.
"We're dating," Remus exclaimed happily.
James started back and forth between them. To Remus, and then to Sirius, to Remus, and back to Sirius.
Peter sat there, mouth agape. You could basically see the cogs turning in his head.
Remus sat there confidently, a smile on his face as he grabbed Sirius' hand.
Sirius was obviously a bit nervous, his leg bounced up and down and he was squeezing Remus' hand a bit too tight.
James stood up and walked towards Sirius, making the latter stand up quickly and causing his hands to shake a bit.
All of a sudden, James tackled Sirius in a hug.
Peter and Remus barked with laughter, Sirius let out a shaky breath of relief, and James continued to hold him tightly and bounce up and down and squeal.
"I knew it! I knew it! I knew it," James repeated.
"So," Sirius started awkwardly, "you good with it?"
"Can you not tell? I'm ecstatic!"
"In my defense, I can't see much of anything with you hugging me," Sirius said, making James let go of him.
"Not my fault you're short," James said.
"I am not short!"
Remus stood next to him and looked down,"You sure, Siri?"
"I- you guys are mean," the black haired boy pouted.
Remus kissed the top of his head, causing him to smile and blush.
"Fuck, now we have to deal with these two lovebird!"
.
Quickly, their Hogwarts journey seemed to come to a close. Their final two years felt like a few days.
Hogwarts quickly learned that there was no stopping Remus and Sirius. Not that many people had a problem with them, as many thought they were the main couple in the castle.
You could never see one without the other.
With Sirius' cuddly personality and Remus' calm aura, Sirius was always on Remus' lap or his head was on his shoulder or he was cuddled into Remus' soft jumpers.
Lily finally accepted a date proposal from James, and the redhead soon realized that he wasn't as bad as he seemed. They had been going out for about a year and a half now.
As the five of them, the Marauders and Lily, rode the train away from Hogwarts for the last time, tears were shed.
Sirius and Lily sat next to each other, Sirius' head dug into Lily's shoulder. Tears were streaming down there faces.
Remus sat next to Sirius, rubbing his back, and James sat next to Lily, whispering soothing words to her.
Peter sat across from them, bouncing his leg and biting his lips.
"Sirius, it's ok, love," Remus soothed.
"But- but that's my home, Moony. That's where I've been living for the past seven years. It's where I could hide from my parents and where I could be myself. And we're leaving it," Sirius sobbed, turning around and cuddling into Remus' beige jumper.
"I know, darling, I know. But, hey, we can buy our own house, right? And it can have anything we ever wanted."
"Really?"
"Yeah, love."
And, even though they were leaving their temporary home, Sirius knew that he would always be with his forever home.
And as he fell asleep, the sound of fifteen crows soaring next to the express window, he knew he was with his home.
