"At least 7 Civilians are outside coming towards the house!!", I answer her question, still not slowing down while running downstairs "Shit!", even though they aren't that much dangerous hordes of them are far too much to handle and I only saw 7 of them who knows how many are outside and already inside it is not easy to fight of hordes of Civilians in a small house like this we have a better chance in an open area.

When I get to the bottom of the stairs I turn towards the entrance we came and to my horror they're already on the porch and coming towards the entrance the door which must have been not shut but it looked like it was shut when we were coming out of the kitchen and going up the stairs but I guess it was just slightly open and the wind blew it open and there are even more than 7 Civilians there's at least 11 of them outside.

Zira comes to the bottom of the stairs and looks at the door we came in seeing the hordes of Civilians she cusses with panic in her voice "Fuck we're dead", I know there is no way that we could fight of 11 Civilians with just a bat and hatchet and I decided it was best if we were to run to the kitchen and break the boarded up window and escape through that and I see a big Civilian walking up the porch and towards the door and who ever this guy was he should have loved going to the gym, he was super jacked and when he saw us his jaws went wide open and his cheeks were ripped open he had bloody teeth and his ginormous arms decaying and covered with Dark Green and he let out a snarl deep from his chest making me shiver and I know it was going to haunt my dreams forever and I thank god he wasn't infected by a Minotaur cause we'd be dead right this second if he was infected with dark brown and as the grandfathers clock was starting to chime as it hit 3 o'clock sharp I quickly got an idea.

I pulled the clock down and it fell it's glass shattering all over which made the other Civilians quicken there pace but this would stop them for a couple minutes because they can't cross obstacles that easily and I grabbed Zira's arm running to the back of the kitchen and closing the door shut which would also give us a couple minutes but considering the size of that Walker it would be less I quickly pulled my hatchet out and start thrashing the hard wood as this house was so old and fragile I expected these planks to be weak as well but god was I so wrong I kept hitting and chopping the wood and I can hear multiple steps and snarls coming from the other side of that door and I start thrashing the wood with all my might and I could hear Zira sobbing and the Walkers trying to break that door this does seem like the end of us but I didn't give up I used her sobbing as a motivation and I hit the wood harder while screaming and *crack*

it broke opened I grabbed Zira and shoved her through that window and when I was about to jump out the window I heard the door broke open without looking back and wasting a second I jumped out the window falling face first Zira quickly helped me get up by literally grabbing my jacket and pulling it almost ripping it and as we both started pounding the ground I turn around to see Civilians pouring out the window that I jumped through just a couple seconds ago we start to run as fast as we could even though Civilians aren't that fast to even catch us while jogging but the adrenaline in our blood and the survival instinct made us run after at least 30 minutes of running,

we stop, we were breathing so heavy and all my mind was thinking about is that snarl that big Civilian made after 5 minutes of heavy breathing and drinking water we start to look around where we are and it seems like a familiar part that we have already came "Does this look oddly familiar?"Zira asked in between breathes with her head between her knees, "Yeah I think we've been here before",

I squatted down to give my legs so rest and looked around and I notice some houses that remind me of our previous place we called home "Zira is this the area where we first stayed when we came to this town at 5 years ago" Zira stopped her heavy breathing and I could see her eyes went wide at the memory "she looks at me with what looks to be a "are-you-kidding-me" look on her face combined with fear "okay so let's go back home" she said with a sarcastic smile on her face,

I pull out the old antique watch I took from that house and look at the time which read 3:45, "Zira it's already past 3 and we can't go back the way we came the Civilians are going to stay at that spot for a while and going around that area means a two hours and thirty minutes walk which at that time will become dark and it's a big risk walking around after dark," I said trying to make this easy for her "are you saying that we should stay here?", "we don't have any other options it's too dangerous at dark we can't see where we're headed or what coming towards us forget about Walkers, we could run into a bear while going back",

I said trying not to sound too harsh even though I don't like staying here as well, we have a better chance of survival if we stayed here rather than travelling at night with regret on her face "okay than where are we going to stay?" she said trying to put up a smile and failing miserably, "well these houses don't look that much of a safe place to be in but maybe if we could go to the attic or basement we might be safe there"

"Okay than let's choose a house which seems abit bigger than the rest so we have much more space", she said trying to bepositive

"okay so let's keep walking down this road so we could find a good one and ifwe can't find one before 5:30 we have to stay at the nearest one, okay?"

"sounds cool" was all her reply was and we started walking we came across different houses that were not one that we wanted to stay in so we continued walking, and after a long silence Zira says "you know, that was really close" I look at her but she just keeps looking down at the street,

she's not acting like normal like her happy self I can see that this is the Zira when the Dark plague hit, 5 years ago when the government saved all the youth and youngsters and leaving all the people who were older than 25 behind thinking that by saving less they would be able to last longer with their resources but that also made the rest of the world our enemy,

the rebels attacking infection free zones and camps for resources and food, the Walkers mindlessly attacking everyone, if they were able to save more people they would have able to fight back but we were just out numbered.

I could see that she was going through the past memories probably when we came close to death like this I have to say we're pretty lucky we have faced death countless times but we were able to get away from it every single time and I don't know how long our luck is going to last and I don't want to know what will happen when it runs out.
