Backstory:
The reader (you) is the childhood best friend of 2D, you've known him since you were a kid before Gorillaz. You were the pianist (and other things) in the band.
After the El Mañana video you and 2D were destroyed when you learned of Noodles "death" so you decided to live in other place together. Then Murdoc tracked you two down and gassed you both thus leads to the Stylo video later on.
