Y/n POV
Sarah and I walked back over to the rest of her family and when we got over there Mr. Murtaugh came up and said
Hey kids. Why don't y'all leave the fireworks at home. You're all welcome at our place anytime. We've got sea-doos, lasers, wireless internet, plasma-screen satellite TVs, al the toys and whistles.
The Baker kids seemed very interested in that offer but the parents not so much
"Hey, you know what, actually, we're here for quality time with the kids. And— come on kids its time to go. —We have done enough damage here." Mr. Baker says trying to get them out of here as fast as possible.
"So we'll probably see you on the lake or something." Mr Murtaugh yelled after us
As all the Bakers are leaving My dad and I decide to leave too.
He is the fix if guy of the lake so i know my stuff too if I was need to help.
The next day
I wake up to the sound of a bell and Mr. Baker yelling
we do live close by them but I honestly I shouldn't be able to hear that.
I throw on a bathing suit and some random clothes over top it
And walked the short distance though the woods over to the Baker house where I saw them eating outside.
"Good morning Bakers." I say coming up the steps of there porch.
"See y/n got up early and she's not complaining ."Mrs. Baker said
"I wouldn't say that. y'all's morning call is louder than I remember." I said looking over and Mr. Baker
And the kids laughed at my comment.
"Ok big breakfast everybody so we have enough room for family activities." Mr Baker said
"Family activities?" Henry questioned
"Absolutely."Mr. baker said listing off things for them to do
"I was going to go boating with Eliot and y/n."
Jake said as I sat down next to him stealing a peace of bacon off of his plate.
"And Kenny has video games."mark said looking at his dad
"Jessica and I were gonna use the Murtaughs' internet hookup." Kim said
"So we could research for the academic decathlon."Jessica said finishing her twins statement
"We need the extra hours."Kim adds on
"Ok that's creepy."I whisper to Jake who laughs
Mr. Baker said "Well, you got all-all vacation to go over to that — place." Sounding a little disappointed
"Well, we have all vacations to do the family activities, too." Henry said trying to reason with there dad.
"Well Sarah what about you. You want to hang out with dad today?"
"Umm... actually I was gonna go boarding with y/n, Jake... and Eliot." She said turning to look back at her food.
"Well, you know I guess we could do lake stuff another day." Mr. Baker said seems ok with that conclusion
"Ok who wants a scone"Mrs. Baker said throwing them at people
Y/n do you want one she asks me
"sure" I said as she throws one to you got and took a bit
"Jake do you want one"his mom asked
"No I'm good He said as she continue down the line of kids"
Then all of the sudden Jake took a bit out of my scone and said before I could complain
"That's what you get for eating my bacon."
"Fine we're even." I said
Sarah Jake Mark and I take one of the Bakers canoes over while Henry and the girl twins take the other canoe over.
We made it over to the Murtaughs and started playing on the sea-doos
Sarah and Eliot on one and me and Jake on the other we all raced and went around in circles all day. And came back to the Baker house while the Murtaughs study.
Time skips it is later and y/n went home
Jake's POV
"Do we have to camp I hear Jessica ask."
"Yes you can just one night for daddy."Mom practically begged us.
"I don't want to do this."I tell Sarah
"wait I have an idea let's go get y/n to come over and camp with us." She said
"That a great idea let's go tell mom." We ran out the door of the house yelling "Mom!!!!"
"What is it!!"she asked stopping us in are tracks
"Can we go see if y/n wants to camp with us." I asked
"Pleaseeeee!!!!"Sarah and I say at the same time.
"It's ok with me go run and ask her before it gets to dark out." Mom said turning back to an upset looking Nigel
Thank you we yell as we run to the woods to go to y/n house.
We start banging on the front door when she opens it
"What in the world are y'all doing you're gonna brake my front door down doing that." She said opening it up
"We are camping tonight please come with us."Sarah said as y/n invited us in
"Whoa slow your roll why do y'all need me there?"
"Because we don't want to deal with family fun activities." Sarah said hopefully
"You do realize your still going to do those even if I am there, right?" she said looking at us.
"Where making s'mores." I said knowing she always came over for s'mores when we were younger
She paused and licked her lips "ok I'm in."those words cause me and Sarah high five.
"Just let me get some clothes."she said as we walked further into her house and into what I am assuming is her room.
I sat in a chair in the corner of the room while Sarah sat on her bed
When y/n opened her closet I looked at pictures hanging from a pin board in her room
There's some of her and her Dad, some with people I don't know, three photos of her and Eliot, some photos just of her, one of her and just Sarah when they where younger, one with her, Sarah, Mark, me,and Charlie. And one with just us.
"Hey, I remember taking this photo"I said out loud causing y/n to close one of the closet doors to see what photo I was talking about.
It was me and her smiling real big at the camera because we both lost a tooth that day.
"Yep, it is one of my favorite." she said putting some clothes in a bag and closing it.
"Are y'all ready" she asked
"Yep" Sarah said walking out the door.
