Chapter 11

Y/n POV

We all walk in and see a little baby boy rapped up in a blanket being held by Nora.

Sarah and Eliot are holding hands and Jake is hugging me from behind with his chin resting on the top of my head.

"You did a good job, honey. A really good job." Mrs. Baker said smiling.

"That's a big boy. To bad he wasn't there to help us win the cup." Jessica said looking at the baby.

"He'll get a chance. Mike Romanow gave me a deal.  Now we own the big house at the lake." Bud said taking a key out of his pocket.

"It'll be nice having you in the neighborhood, Bud." Mr. Murtaugh said smiling at Baker family.

"You Murtaughs better start cranking out grandkids, if you want to compete." He said jokingly

We all laugh and Lorraine shhh us.

"My godchild is trying to snooze." She said looking at the baby.

"So any ideas on a name?" Kate asked

Bud and Nora look at each other and turn back to the Baker parents

"I think we're going to go with Tom."

"Because you taught us there is no way to be a perfect parent... but a million ways to be a really good one."

"And your about as good as they get."

"Say hi to grandpa. Go on. Okay." Nora said giving the child to her father.

"Hi Tom.... Hey Tom. Yeah hi welcome to the family." Mr. Baker said letting a tear fall down his cheek

Time skips

Bye Nora Bye Bud Bye Nora Bye.

Is what everyone is saying because Bud, Nora, and baby Tom are going home right now.

Nora sticks her head out the window and says bye one last time before they are out of site.

Everyone goes off and starts to play but before I could get too fair I felt a tap on my shoulder

I turn to see Jake "follow me." He said  and started to walk away I ran up to him and grabbed his hand intertwining are fingers.

We walk a little further till we are next to the water but a good distance from everyone else.

"Now why have brought me all the way over here." I ask looking out at the lake and siting on a rock.

"Are you going to murder me and didn't want any witnesses." I ask playfully

"Aww man you caught me."  He joked back laughing

"I brought you over here so we could talk."

"Okay" I said kinda nervous.

"Ok look I know I asked you out on a date and I know we have been acting like a couple but—

"You don't want to be one." I asked kinda disappointed

"No no no I do want to be one that's the thing you never actually officially said you wanted to be together." He said looking down

"Well..."

Jake's POV

She just stopped talking well what I thought to my self

I feel her grab my chin and move it so I would look at her.

I looked at her pretty eyes and then down to her lips

And leaned a little closer

She was getting closer too

I closed my eyes and felt her lips touch mine.

It felt good to be kissing the girl I have liked for so long.

We kept kissing for a little longer and then broke apart to you know breath

She smiled then  hugged me  and whisper in my ear "I really like you and I would love to be together."

"Really" I said pulling her away from the hug by her shoulders and looking her in the eyes

"Yes I am positive." She said giggling at my excitement.

Ok we should get back before your parents send a search party she said standing up and holding out her hand for me.

I lace my fingers with her and we walk back to the house.

Time passes

Y/n POV

We where all sitting in the living room when kimmy and Jessica yell for all of us to come here.

Everyone runs over and we see the Baker parents dancing on the dock when the part they were on separate from the rest of the dock

But they just keep dancing as we all watch from inside the house.

They look so in love. 

Time skips

So I guess this is good bye I say my dad gets home in an hour and the Bakers are leaving today

I am going to miss them so much

Eliot and Sarah are officially together like me and Jake so he came over to say bye as well.

I hug everyone and then go up to Jake. "I will miss you." I said hugging him again. "Me too."

"You'll miss yourself."I asked trying to lighten the mood

"Just shut up." he said laughing

"I will be back next break so see you then." He said letting go.

I stand on my toes and kiss him before he got in the car.

Eliot and I stand next to each other and wave as the bakers disappear down the road.
