Oops, long chapter!
But I'll think you'll like it :D

Y/n p.o.v

I washed my face, staring at myself through the mirror.

What's wrong with me?

I know Wilbur only for a few days, but I feel really strange around him.
It's not my usual anxiety.
In fact, I feel like I can be myself---
Ughhhhh! So cliché!

I looked at my reflection again.
I'm obviously feeling something for him.

D-Damn it, stop blushing!

I really need to stop thinking about him that way. He's just a friend. Pal. Music pal. Streaming friend. Discord friend.

...
The first friend I had in a long time.
Someone who actually cares.
A fun person that makes me smile.

S-STOP GRINNING LIKE AN IDIOT!

I took a deep breath.
Just go out there and DON'T make a fool of yourself.

When I got back to the living room, I saw Wilbur sitting on the couch, looking at the floor. He didn't notice me, looks like he is deep in thoughts.

"Something's bothering you, Wil?"

"H-Huh? Oh, nothing.
Just thinking about stuff."
His head turned to my direction.

His phone pinged a few times.

"Someone's looking for you?"
I asked.

"Not really, just my friends.
We are going to stream together tomorrow, so they are asking me when to start the next phase of the script."

"Hold on, script? Live?
How does that work?"
I wondered.

Wilbur paused to think how to deliver the information.
"...
Have you... have you ever heard about the 'Dream SMP'?"

"Well, I know it's a very popular minecraft story-thingy.
I heard a few people in the University talk about this. Dream's a 'speedrunner' if I remember correctly..."
I scratched my chin.

"Indeed. Well, I am also a character in the SMP and a writer for it."
He admitted.

"Really? That's AWESOME!
So you are not only a talented musician.
From what I've heard, people really like your and your friends' work.
I'm proud of you, Wil."

Wilbur looked down, smiling to himself.
"T-Thank you. I appreciate it."

"Hmm? Don't you hear stuff like this all the time from fans?"
I tilted my head, confused.

"It's different coming from you."
He smiled softly at me.

My heart skipped a beat.
DON'T BLUSH DON'T BLUSH DON'TBLUSHDON'TBLUSHDON'TBLUSH

"I-I mean---
Yes, people do tell us stuff like that, but you never know how genuine they are."
He looked away.

I sighed, sitting next to him.
"Do you really need the validation of a crowd when you have wonderful friends that supposed you?"
I gestured at his phone.

Suddenly, his arms wrapped around me for a hug. This caught me off-guard, but luckily he can't see my red face.
I felt nervous yet peaceful at the same time. I hesitantly put my hands around him, trying not to shake.

The phone was still pinging.
"Y-You should answer your friends, Wil."

He proceeded to not move.

"A-Alrighty then...
Not a lot of people appreciate a good hug nowadays."

I hugged him back.

Wilbur eventually let go of me.
"I hope I didn't make you uncomfortable."
