Emily's POV

I was back from my business trip a few days now and it felt so good to be home with my girl. A week away is too long; I don't even know how I managed the two and a half years we were apart in the first place. Thinking back on it now, I'm still appalled that I survived that while, in reality, my heart was breaking with every day that Sue was out of my life.

It was Friday and I had finally arrived home from work to Sue with open arms, waiting for me in the living room. She was always home a couple of hours before me and always greeted me with a hug and a kiss and I simply could not stop swooning over her—how could I? I'm lucky; lucky because Sue is my girlfriend and things are very serious. Hell, I would marry this girl. No—I will marry this girl. I know she is the one I want to spend the rest of my life with.

I dropped my bag beside the door and shut it behind me. Sue and I met halfway—I grabbed her head in my hands and gave her a kiss.

She smiled against my lips and wrapped her arms around my back, "How was work?" She asked as we pulled apart.

I kept her head in my hands and pressed my forehead to hers for a moment and then pulled away.

"Busy, like always. Honestly, I'm starting to feel burned out. I need a vacation or something." I said, sighing as I took my jacket off.

"Well, we should plan one soon. My school is closed for a week in April, let's go somewhere." Sue said, smiling at me.

"That sounds nice. Where should we go?" I asked, thinking for a moment. "I'd love to go somewhere warm. I'm sick of this Boston cold."

"Florida would be nice, wouldn't you say?" She asked, running her hand up and down my arm.

I felt butterflies every time Sue touched me—I always have. I smiled at her and nodded, "Let's book it this weekend."

She agreed and walked back into the kitchen. She was pulling food out of the cabinets; pasta, sauce and a lot of spices. She went to the freezer and pulled out meatballs and tossed them on the counter next to the rest of the food.

I walked into the kitchen as I watched her pull out the food and as soon as it was all on the counter, I took it all and put it back.

She looked at me, confused, "Uh... what are you doing, babe?"

"I'm taking you out." I said, walking up from behind her and placing a tender kiss on her cheek.

She smiled, leaning back into me, "Oh, are you?"

I nodded, pressing my lips up to her neck now, "Yes. Wherever you want to go—you name it, we're going."

"Hmmm..." Sue hummed, thinking but also enjoying the feeling of my lips on her neck—I know my woman. "Is our bedroom an option?" She teased, putting her hand on the back of my head, holding me in place against her neck.

I chuckled and shook my head while my lips worked their way up toward her jaw, "We'll save that for later."

She sighed and let go of my head, turning around so she was facing me now, "Fiiiiiiine," She whined, jokingly. "We should go to the dive bar we went to for your birthday, you know..." She started, looking me up and down as she inched closer to me, pulling me forward from the bottom of my shirt, "... the place where you couldn't keep your hands or lips off me."

I breathed heavily, thinking back on the memory of us in the bar bathroom that evening. It was hot and heavy and now I was starting to feel that sensation in my body again just from thinking about it. It was a dangerous situation at the time for very obvious reasons, but Sue just always had this grip on me that I could never refuse, no matter how hard I tried.
