Ch. 17 "Discussion"

                                          Steve POV 

Fury had a holoscreen showing all sorts of numbers a picture of Jaylynn, they charted everything. 

Size- Needs improvement 

Speed- Excellent 

Strength- Excellent. 

Next Dose- three weeks. 

"What are we looking at?' I said 

"Don't you understand? She was being built to be their weapon. to destroy you and Barnes." Fury said 

"She just a kid." I said crossing my arms

"A kid who can pack one heck of a punch." Tony said 

It was me, Fury, Nat, Tony and Clint in the room. 

"I say we lock her up she might be plotting." Fury said 

We all looked at him like he lost his mind. 

"So I don't know if that strap to your eye patch is cutting off the blood circulation to your brain but are you insane she's just a little girl," Nat said 

"A little girl who can hit just as hard as you maybe even harder," Fury said 

"So the kid doesn't know her own strength neither does Cap." Tony said 

"She is dangerous who knows what they trained her to do." Fury said 

"Nothing she is terrified of everything so its safe to say she's no threat to us." I said 

"Are you sure about that Roger's" Fury said 

"I am more than sure." I said 

"She is now my responsibility" I said 

Everyone looked at me shocked at my tone of voice and determination. 

"Are you sure?" Nat said 

I nodded 

"I am." I said 

"Kids are a different ball game as is. but Jaylynn with her it's going to be more of a challenge." Clint said 

"I made up my mind." I said crossing my arms. 

"Alright Cap." Tony said 

"I want a report every week." Fury said 

"No." I said 

He looked at me. 

"No?" He said 

"No. she's a kid. Not an agent. or experiment. she is a little girl who deserve's a chance at a normal life just like the rest of us." I said 

"He has a point." Tony said 

Fury glared at him. 

"I don't care." Fury said 

"Well I do." I said standing straight walking towards him. 

"She is a kid and she deserve's more than the life HYDRA was giving her. end of discussion." I said 

I walked out of the room I find Jaylynn sitting next to Bucky on the couch. 

Bucky's arm was draped over the back of the couch behind her. he had a photo album in his lap. 

Showing Jaylynn pictures. 

"And this one is of Steve before he went into the army. he was and still is a punk." Bucky said 

"Punk?" Jaylynn asked as she tilted her head 

Bucky smiled down at her. and nodded 

I smiled at this. feeling myself relax seeing she's slowly warming up to us. 

Just hope we can show her that we are not like them. that we are here to help her. take care of her. 

Not scare her. or cause any kind of harm in any way. 

I was knocked out of my thoughts when Bucky spoke. 

"How did it go?" He said still looking down at the pictures 

Jaylynn looking at the pictures with interest. 

"I'll tell you later." I said sitting on the other side of Jaylynn
