"I can't trust you. I can't even trust myself."
I see Mister Rogers shift but he says nothing else.
We watch the stream flow until we hear Miss Romanoff behind us.
"We're about to leave for the tower."
I nod before beginning to walk back to the orphanage.
"This place is beautiful." Miss Romanoff comments.
Those simple words cause a pain in my chest.
This place is beautiful.
Pops had said that after we discovered it during one of my episodes.
"Daisy?" Miss Romanoff has an edge in her tone that completely sets me off.
I look behind me while pulling out the pocket knife in my hand.
I see no one and look back at her.
"You zoned out for a moment." Her tone remains neutral.
"O-oh" I slide my knife back in my pocket.
I walk back with them and get in the car with Mister Stark, Morgan, Peter and Ella. Midnight jumps in my lap and curls up.
"What do you kids like to eat?" Mister Stark asks.
"French Toast! Auntie Daisy makes the best in the whole wide world!" Ella exclaims happily.
I see a small smile from Mister Stark.
"I guess I'll have to try some."
The rest of the car ride is quiet until we park inside the garage at the Avengers Tower.
Midnight moves to the edge of the seat as I unbuckle my seat belt.
I leave the vehicle and look upon the vast number of luxury vehicles and fast cars.
I look back inside the car and catch Midnight as she jumps in my arms
"Impressive" I mumble while following everyone to the common room.
I see all familiar faces with few names to go by.
The thoughts make my stomach churn.
"Everyone this is Ella and Daisy." Mister Stark introduces us to the rest of the Avengers.
I glance at the tall dark haired man in green before looking back at the floor.
I know how he dies.
"Daisy?" I jump at the closeness of this voice.
I suddenly feel the tears on my face.
I quickly wipe them off with my sleeve.
"Are you alright? Have you met him before?" Mister Stark questions.
I shake my head. "No. I've never met him."
Everyone introduces themselves to Ella and I before we are led to our rooms.
"I hope you enjoy living here." Miss Romanoff states sincerely.
"It has to be better than before. Thank you Miss Romanoff." I smile sadly.
"Please just call me Nat or Natasha. The miss makes me feel old."
I nod. "Thank you Nat." I take a step inside the room.

I first notice the warm looking bed

I first notice the warm looking bed.
I run my hand along the covers.

It's so soft.
I take the small grey velvet blanket off the bed and wrap it around my shoulders.
It smells freshly washed.
I think its lavender.
I see a silver laptop on the small glass nightstand.
Their is another door that leads to a bathroom.
It's simply decorated.
A single porcelain sink in the middle of a light marble counter.
The counter has four medium sized drawers.
I open all of them.
The top two has shower and personal hygiene items.
The bottom two have fluffy towels.
I look down at the floor. It's a combination of white and grey tiles.
There is a spot near the left side of the door to hang up shirts and jeans. Below that is a long light wooden dresser.
I open the drawers finding all of them empty.
A light knock comes from my door.
"Hello Miss Daisy daughter of..."
The loud blonde trails off.
"Please call me Daisy. I have no title." I mumble while looking down.
"Miss Daisy." He inclines his head slightly.
"Why hide your eyes from the view of others?"
I look up in suprise.
I see his eyes flicker over mine.
It surprises me when he doesn't look at me like I'm different than anyone else.
I remain silent a few moments until I see Peter walking through the hallway with Bucky and Ella.
"Do you like your room?" Peter asks.
I nod while pulling my blanket closer around my body.
"Are you feeling a bit of a chill?" Thor asks in a suprised tone.
"I'm fine." I breath in the Lavender scent.
"Daisy. Mister Stark wants to update your file." Peter states plainly.
I receive a distant look from Bucky.
"What is it for?" My body tenses.
"For school and an I.D." He answers calmly.
"Oh" I shut the door behind me.
I follow them to the kitchen.
The scent of pizza fills the dining room.
Mister Stark gives me a curious look.
"She caught a bit of a chill." Thor answers his question.
I look down in embarrassment.
"I'll keep that in mind." Mister Stark looks back at me.
"You like pizza kid?"
"Yes"
He gestures to everyone sitting at the table who have just started eating.
"Eat up then we'll edit your profile for Fury."
I tilt my head at the name.
"Fury is the Director of the Avengers." He states in a semi bored tone.
"He has information on every Avenger and most Civilians."
"I'm one of the few he doesn't." I state quietly.
"Yep. Go eat and we'll fill in the blanks."
I glance nervously at the table before slowly walking towards the end of the table.
I take a small piece and eat it slowly.
Once I finish I drink the rest of my water.
I stand and begin to wash my plate and cup as Mister Stark walks up behind me.
"Did you eat enough?"
I slowly nod as I dry my dishes.
He doesn't look convinced but stays silent.
"Where would you like to fill the papers out?" Mister Stark holds up a clip board.
"Anywhere is fine" I mumble.
"You're going to have to learn you can make choices for yourself." He states firm unmoving from leaning against the counter.
I hold my hand out and he hands me to clip board and a pen.
I move to the dining room table and take a seat.
