Sage took Rens ship and flew off towards her fathers old hiding spot. She figured If she could find any answers to exegol it would be there. But as she came up on the planet her emotions got the best of her and she crashed into the mountain side. When she crawled out of the ship that was now completely engulfed in flames she yelled out falling to her knees.

As she fell her fathers lightsaber dropped from her side and onto the ground in front of her. She looked at it for a moment, and realized that this weapon was the reason for all of this. This saber which once belonged to her grandfather, is what got the galaxy in this whole empire, first order, bull shit to begin with.

She stood up angrily with it in her hands and looked at the fiery mess in front of her. Suddenly in a fit of rage she chucked it at the ship.

The saber didn't land in the mess however, for a ghostly hand caught it walking forward towards sage. "A Jedis weapon deserves more respect" her father said smiling at sage

"Dad" she choked out in shock looking at the ghostly figure of her father

"What are you doing?" He said sternly

"Why didn't you tell me I was a palpatine"

Luke sighed as he motioned for her to sit down next to him on a rock a couple feet away "your mother and I.... We needed to protect you. Looking back maybe we didn't do the best job....." Sage smiled slightly "the moment I found out about palpatine and his plans for you, I search the entire cosmos for any sign of him.... But I was to late, by the time I got back he had already found your mother and...."

"And he demanded I turn you over to him..." the ghostly figure of Mara jade said walking up behind Luke placing a hand on his shoulder

Sage didn't say anything for a moment. She thought she was hallucinating. She hadn't seen her mother since the day she was taken from her. And yet here she was with her signature strawberry blonde hair and general smile painted across her face, force ghost and all

"Hi baby" Mara smiled, walking up to her daughter who had grown up right before her eyes and gave her a long overdue hug. They stayed like that for a moment before Mara pulled back and moved the hair away from sages face so she could see it better "I'm so proud of you"

"I'm sorry I couldn't save you" sage said through tears

"Oh baby nothing would have stopped palpatine. It wasn't your fault.... None of this is your fault" Mara began wiping sages tears away from her face "the emperor saw what you could become and felt threatened. He wanted you off the playing field"

"And I wasn't going to let that happen so I took you, ben and a couple of other Padawan's out to the temple to prepare you all for when he would return....But I didn't know he would use my own family against me"

Sage looked down in sorrow at the mention of her cousin "I'm scared" she admitted

"I'd be concerned if you weren't" Luke said "palpatine isn't a enemy to take lightly"

"Not of him...."Sage said not daring to look up from the ground. She could feel her mother sit on the other side of her and place a hand on her shoulders. She missed the comfort of her mother so much, that for a moment she felt at peace. But that feeling past like a fleeting moment.

"I saw myself on the dark throne, i turned just like ben and my grandfather before me.....I won't let it happen.... In all honesty I should have just taken Poe up on his offer and just stay here and hide like you did dad" sage said turning to her father

"I was wrong to hide, it was fear that kept me here... sage, what is it that you're most afraid of?" Luke said facing his daughter

"Myself" she whispered

"What? Because of your Lineage? Sage I trained you, not because I feared what you could become. but because I saw your spirit, and your heart...."

"Sage some things are stronger than blood" her mother chimed in from the other side

"Confronting fear is the destiny of a Jedi.... If you don't face him, it will be the end of the Jedi and the war will be lost"

"I just don't know if I'm ready" sage looked at both her parents with tear filled eyes

"You were born ready" Mara said smiling and kissing her daughters forehead

"Come, there's something Leia would want you to have" Luke said getting up and guiding sage to a hut. Sage pulled a brick from a wall and pulled out an item wrapped in cloth. When she unraveled the material she held out a lightsaber, smaller than her fathers, and with more gold elements to it

"Leias saber" sage whispered out loud

"sage a thousand generations live in you now, but this...this is is your fight. Don't fight for them, fight for you. Take both sabers with you to exegol, I have a feeling you'll be needing it"

"I can't get there, I don't have the wayfinder and I destroyed Rens ship" sage said

"Darling you have everything you need" Mara said placing a hand on sages shoulder and side eyeing the window. Suddenly sage caught on as an idea popped into the girls brain

Sage raced over to Rens ship, or at least what remained of it, and pulled out a wayfinder that was connected to a bunch of wires. She suddenly heard a rumbling sound as she raced out over to the edge of the cliff. She saw an older x-wing being pulled out from the waters below and onto the cliff side next to her. She looked up to see her father holding his hand out pulling the ship up and over the edge. They both smiled at each other before sage ran off to the ship connecting the wayfinder and taking off towards the sky.

She looked down to see her parents holding each other and looking up and waving goodbye to her. "I love you guys" sage whispered to herself knowing somehow they could hear her
