Summer Sun Celebration: Dusk Darking

Crystal: [She had a pillow over her ears, trying to block out all the noise that was coming from downstairs. She looked up at the clock on the wall and saw that it was almost time for the Summer Sun Celebration]

Charmy: [He walks into Crystal's room while wearing Ruv's hat] Hey Crystal! Kat's starting "pin the tail on the pony"! Wanna play?

Crystal: No! All the mobians and humans in this town are crazy! Do you know what time it is?!

Charmy: It's the eve of the Summer Sun Celebration. Everybody has to stay up, or they'll miss the Princess raise the sun! You really should lighten up, Crystal. It's a party!

Crystal: [Mockingly imitates Charmy]

Ruv: [From downstairs] Has anyone seen my hat?!

Charmy: [He started whistling as he leaves Crystal's room]

Crystal: Ugh, here I thought I'd have time to learn about the Elements of Harmony but, silly me, all this ridiculous friend-making has kept me from it! [She then looks out her window and at the moon] "Legend has it that on the longest day of the thousandth year, the stars will aid in her escape, and she will bring about everlasting night." I hope the Princess was right... I hope it really is just an old tale...

Charmy: [He had a black eye and Ruv's hat was off of him] C'mon, Crystal, it's time to watch the sunrise!

[Cut to city hall. The mobians and humans were getting ready to watch the sunrise]

Kat: [To Crystal and Charmy] Isn't this exciting? Are you excited, 'cause I'm excited, I've never been so excited— [Points at Crystal] well, except for the time that I saw you walking into town and I went [Deep gasp] but I mean really, who can top that? [The three then saw Boyfriend and the birds singing a fanfare]

Honey: Ladies and gentlemen, as mayor of Station Square, it is my great pleasure to announce the beginning of the Summer Sun Celebration! [The mobians and humans cheer] In just a few moments, our town will witness the magic of the sunrise, and celebrate this, the longest day of the year! And now, it is my great honor to introduce to you the ruler of our land, the very girl who gives us the sun and the moon each and every day, [Everyone looks at a banner of the sun] the good, the wise, the bringer of harmony to all of Mobius... [Crystal looks at the moon again with a worried look as she saw the Dusk Darking imprint on the moon disappear]

Boyfriend: [To the birds] Ready? 

Honey: ...Princess Sunshine!

Sarvente: [She saw that Princess Sunshine was missing] Huh? [The humans and mobians chattered quietly and nervously in the background]

Crystal: [Scared] This can't be good.

Honey: Remain calm, everybody, there must be a reasonable explanation!

Kat: Ooh, ooh, I love guessing games! Is she hiding?

Sarvente: She's gone!

Kat: Ooh, she's good. [She saw Dusk Darking appear and she screams]

Crystal: Oh no... Dusk Darking!

Charmy: [Whimpers]

Dusk Darking: [She laughs evilly] Oh, my beloved subjects. It's been so long since I've seen your precious little sun-loving faces.

Pico: What did you do with our Princess?! [He tries to attack her, but Ruv stops him by grabbing onto his sweater]

Ruv: Whoa there, Pico...

Dusk Darking: [Chuckles evilly] Why, am I not royal enough for you? Don't you know who I am?

Kat: Ooh, ooh, more guessing games! Um, Hokey Smokes! How about... Queen Meanie! No! Black Snooty, Black Snooty- [Ruv shoves his fist into her mouth]

Dusk Darking: [Evilly] Does my crown no longer count now that I have been imprisoned for a thousand years? Did you not recall the legend? Did you not see the signs?

Crystal: I did. [Everyone looks at Crystal] And I know who you are. You're the Mare in the Moon – Dusk Darking! [Everyone gasps]

Dusk Darking: [Evilly] Well well well, somebody who remembers me. Then you also know why I'm here.

Crystal: You're here to... to... [Gulps nervously]

Dusk Darking: [Chuckles evilly] Remember this day, little ponies, for it was your last. From this moment forth, the night will last forever! [She laughs evilly as thunder crashes]
