Part 10

After Noah has been shown around and they've all gone through the basics with him, they all gather around the boardroom, Harry and Scott leading a team meeting.

"Okay boys, listen up, this investigation has been opened due to the actions that went on in the latest raid. Anything discussed in this room does not leave it. You are not given permission to talk about this with anyone outside this room are we clear" Scott starts the meeting off

The boys all sound their agreements

"We have reason to belive that something has gone on behind the scenes and Louis was sent into the raid unarmed and unprotected on purpose" Harry says

"Noah, we've been looking into this since the night of the raid, since you were working directly with Louis we could really use your insight and understanding of what went down" Scott says

"You've been investigating this for weeks?" Noah asks confused

"We have" Harry says

"And Louis has no idea?" Noah asks

"No, we didn't want you or Louis to know but there's a few other instances that have gone on that we can't ignore, we think Louis is a target for some reason and Liam is behind it" Harry says

"Hold up, what?" Noah asks completely baffled

"Belive it or not, we didn't send you to homicide because we were punishing Louis, we sent him there to be safe and so we could investigate Liam closely" Harry says

"Inside your folders you will find a rundown of everything we've found so far, it will explain everything" Scott says

The boys are handed individual folders around with a report inside

"Noah, if it's okay with you, we would like to go over what happened that day, before the raid" Scott says

"Sure, it was all planned to a T like usual, nothing we did was out of the ordinary until it was time for Louis to go in" Noah says

When partners work undercover they work together, Louis being the one in the field, Noah being the eyes and ears outside, Louis is the one who makes the deals and friends with the underground while Noah is undercover as Louis 'street friend' so if and when he's seen around Louis it's not a threat.

"Liam called us in to say they were onto Louis, said he had a source tell him and that Louis needed to go in without a vest or gun in case they search him, said I would be there to protect him and so would you guys. Louis didn't question it because he'd been working 18 months for that day, didn't want to put anyone else at risk. And he trusted us to keep him safe" Noah says

The boys are upset that they even let a bullet get anywhere near Louis

"The bullet was shot from across the warehouse on the upper deck downwards, we've identified this man as the one who shot it" Harry says.

He brings the photo up on the whiteboard, it's grainy and he's wearing a black balaclava so you can't really see his face. What you can see though, is the tattoo on his upper arm, it's a dragon, one of Stanley's gang tattoos

"We know the bullet was meant to hit Louis but we aren't sure if it was meant to hurt him as a warning or fatally wound him and it didn't go to plan. After replaying the tapes we noticed Louis moved at the last split second and in doing so saved his life essentially" Scott says

"We need to find out who this man is and why he was aiming for Louis" Harry says

"We then have the fact when we put Louis and Noah on homicide the first case they were given was Stanley's wife's murder. A coincidence? Maybe, but the body was in Greenwich, just outside our border, it was Northern London's homicide team who should have been on the case, why was it given to Louis and Noah?" Scott says

"And lastly, Charlie was chosen, vetted and approved by Scott and I as well as the team at the beauro to take Noah's place as Louis partner. Why did it suddenly change and who is this Jax guy, Scott and I have never heard of him" Harry says

"Something is definitely not right, Drew and I can run a few background checks and see what we can find on this Jax guy" Dan says

"Noah and I can look into the guy who shot at Louis, see if we can find an identity and get some answers" Edward says

"Thanks boys, remember no one is to know about this" Scott says

The boys nod as they get up to leave

"Harry, Scott" Noah says

They both turn around to look at Noah

"I'll go back to homicide if it means Louis is safe, I don't want him in danger and I'm worried about this Jax guy" Noah says

Harry and Scott's faces soften

"You're a good friend Noah" Scott says

"We don't want to bring anything to anyone's attention though, in case there is something going on, we just have to keep a close eye on everything and make sure Louis is safe and check in with him. If we can get to the bottom of all this we can work out what's gone on and Louis will be safe" Harry says

Noah nods

"I'll get to work then" he says and the boys nod and smile

They just hope they can figure it out soon.
