"Я, Равен Новиков, клянусь служить своей стране, своей семье и моей мафии. Я буду защищать своих союзников и убивать своих врагов. (I, Raven Novikov, swear to serve my country, my family and my mafia. I will protect my allies and kill my enemies.)" I said the oath and then everyone cheered.

"Welcome to the Mafia, properly," Ivan smiled, putting his arm around my shoulders. I had completely forgotten about Liliana and the bitches and had worked hard for nearly two weeks so I could finally join the Mafia properly.

Ivan had worked me hard, physically, mentally and emotionally. Putting me through test after test to make sure I was ready and when I was, it was something to celebrate.

We all dug into the cake, shoving big pieces into our mouths as people congratulated me. I ate at a grand feast that night. I remember Daniel and Alina's feast. Both were 16 and I was only 15. I looked at them both as they cut the cake together and clapped along with everyone else, waiting for my time to stand there while everyone cheered.

"Congratulations to Raven and to congratulate her I'm giving her..." he paused, "her first real mission!" The crowd cheered and I clapped, happy that my excellent skills were finally being put to use. Somehow that announcement was forgotten as we all ate and drank to our heart's content.

On my 3rd vodka shot, my head started spinning and I swear I saw stars. I drank only beer after that. Though I still got drunk and by the end of the night, I was dancing on tabletops with Daniel and Alina. Singing to Taylor Swift and Katy Perry.

I thought being drunk was bad but the morning after was even worse.

I groaned as I sat up. I was slumped against a table next to Daniel. My head throbbed and immediately I felt like throwing up. "What in the hot, crispy, Kentucky fried fuck did we do last night?!" I asked no one in particular. The memories came rushing back a second later, "Oh," I nodded my head slowly. I shook Daniel awake and he groaned and then threw up. "Nice," I grimaced, trying hard not to vomit myself.

I crawled over to the light switch and flipped it. Nearly everyone in the room, including me, groaned in the light as our heads throbbed. I stood up and went to the kitchen, chugging down three glasses of water and then proceeding to throw them all back up as well as the celebration cake. After I was sure I was finished I took another drink of water and aspirin, trying to stop the pain.

"Morning," Ivan banged the door open. He took one look at me and burst out laughing, "Someone's a bit hungover," he laughed.

"Yeah and that someone will shoot you if you don't shut it," I sighed, chugging down another glass of water.

"Get some sleep," he told me, "Your briefing is at 3," I nodded, looking up at the clock that told me it was 9 in the morning. I crawled up to my bedroom and opened the door. Kira immediately got up and came over to me,

"Ready for a sleep?" I asked her. She wagged her tail and I climbed into bed after setting my alarm for 2. Kira jumped into bed next to me and snuggled up and soon I was asleep.

- TWO O'CLOCK -

A loud beeping noise awakened me. I slapped my phone a few times but it wouldn't stop. I picked my phone up and threw it across the room. It stopped going off and I groaned. Kira hadn't even stirred. I got out of bed and went to the bathroom. My head still throbbed but I had a quick cold shower to wake myself up and then got changed into some leggings and a t-shirt. I put some makeup on and then left the room with Kira trailing behind me.
