We were now at the house just chilling and I was still pissed about that comment Quando made about my father. You know he's dead and yet you still disrespected him like that. I called you a bitch, not my father so why would you feel like it was okay to bring him into the mix? Punk ass bitch.

"Mariah you good?" Kentrell asks

I ignored Kentrell and just kept my death stare on Quando. I was pissed and felt like a lion stalking her/his prey.

"Why you looking at me like that hoe?"

"Watch yo fuckin' mouth." Durk says

"Man fuck her. This lil bitch do all typa disrespectful shit and nobody say or do nothin' to her. Hop off my tip."

"But you called that girl daddy a bitch though and he dead. That shit ain't cool." Montana says

"But it's cool when y'all disrespect Gee Money though?" Quando asks

"That's different cuz' Gee Money and me had beef. You'n even know this girl daddy. Never met the man a day in yo life." Kentrell says

"Answer the door while you up Ten." Herm says

"Ight."

Ten opened the door and we seen it was Detectives Mendez and Hawkins. What the hell are they doing here?

"Can we help you boys in black?" 3three asks

"Man I got weed and a blick on me." Von whispered to me

"You good. They cool cops." I said

"You sho'?" He asked

"Mm-hmm." I said

"Mariah um... I wanna talk to you about the night your father was murdered. Do you remember anything from that night?" Hawkins spoke in a very calm but shaky tone

"I don't remember much. I was like 4." I said

"You were the cutest kid I'd ever saw back then." Mendez says

"Y'all high?" Kentrell asked

"We were the 2 rookie cops who sat with you at the hospital. And then I kept you for 2 weeks after that until DCFS found you that group home to stay in." Mendez says as he laid down a picture on the coffee table

I picked it up and stared at it before rubbing the picture. This was definitely me in the picture and now I remembered where I knew their faces from.

"Your father helped us get onto the force and about a month after I was a cop, I got into a jam and almost lost my life when trying to stop a robbery I progress. Your father was the man that saved my life. I was 22 and newly married to my ex wife with my daughter on the way.... So for that I owe his legacy everything that I have." Hawkins says

I just started crying because I knew he wasn't making up a fake story. My dad was the kind of man to give you the clothes off his back, shoes off his feet, and the last dollar in his pocket if you need it. He was a good man and the way he was murdered was so wrong.

"So that's why I've been watching you everyday of your life for the last 13 years."

"Damn. 13 years? Nigga you got some other shit going on in yo brain." Jessica says

"My dad was a good man." I said

"We know and that's why we want you to lead our reopening of the investigation into his death. You're not a cop, but if you did decide to join the force, we'd be happy to have you." Mendez spoke

"What?" Ten said

"Her father's murder was just an open and shut case back then figuring it was a home invasion gone wrong beings that his safe was broken into and all it's contents were gone. So when this came up with your lil friend Top, we decided to reopen his murder and the chief of police is all for Mariah helping us on the case. Ride alongs, late nights, donut and coffee with sausage biscuit runs, yeah, all the good stuff." Mendez says with a wink and a smile at the end

"Damn folks. You finna be 12 na? I love you but we gotta break up til' you back to normal." Von says

"Oh snap, your King Von. My daughter loves you. I hate it cuz' she makes me buy every single song on apple music and even has you plastered all over her walls." Hawkins says

"For real? That's love man. Tell yo daughter I said 'waddup lil folks'. And say it just like that."

"What's up lil folks? What the hell is lil folks?" Hawkins says

"Nah nah, it's waddup lil folks. W-A-D-D-U-P." Von spoke

"Just do a voice recording for her." Hawkins says

He started ro record and Von said it himself. Her name was Haley and Von said "waddup lil folks, ya pops told me you was a fan so I wanted to show a lil love, aye send me some pictures of yo room though gang". Soon as Hawkins sent that shit his FaceTime started going crazy.

"DAD, WAS THAT REALLY KING VON?!! OH MY GOSH, DAD I'LL NEVER FORGIVE YOU IF THIS IS A PRANK!PLEASE TELL ME IT'S REAL!!!!"

"It is real honey, but I'm kind of on the job right now."

"Did you arrest him?! Oh my gosh if you arrested him, you are gonna be my biggest opp." Haley says

"Your biggest what? Okay, enough opp talk. I did not arrest him and he is fine. Nobody from O Block, D Block, C Block, nor G Block is gonna do me anything. I will get a picture and send it to you later. Now I gotta go. I love you honey."

"I love you too dad and if you see him again, can you tell him my Instagram so he can maybe like a pic or two?"

"I gotchu lil folks. What's yo IG?" Von spoke

"Haley.baby, no underscores or anything. Just H-A-L-E-Y, period, B-A-B-Y." Haley says

"Bettt, it's up thea'." Von said as he followed her and spammed her page with likes and shit

Even gave her a shout out too. I swear, people can say what they want about Von, but he is a really nice person and does his best to make his friends, family, and supporters happy.

"Thank you so much. Bye guys oh and dad don't forget our day tomorrow. I'm supposed to ride along with you."

"I'm not gonna forget Haley. Just be ready when I get there. You know how your mother and I are." Hawkins says

"I got you pops. Relax dude."

"Du-- And did she just hang up on me?" He said

"I think she did my guy. Welcome to the flimsy fourteen." Mendez spoke

After that, the detectives left then came back about 2 hours later with everything they had on my father's murder. This should be interesting.
