As we sat looking through all the files and stuff. Amelia, Kentrell, K, Herm, 3three, and Von were still here in the living room with the detectives and I while everybody else had went to the game room or wherever. These people were scattered all around this place.

"Find anything Mendez?" Hawkins asks

"Yeah actually I did. But I don't know if it's sumn'." He said said as he stood up

"Talk to me."

"Mariah, this pendant. Where did your dad keep it? If you remember." Mendez said as he tacked a photo up on the board

Well it wasn't really a board, it was a table that came from the basement that they're using as a board for pictures and stuff to be tacked up like they do at the station.

"He kept it in..."

I stopped speaking when I thought about something. This pendant of my dad's, I had seen somebody else with it. But I couldn't remember exactly who.

"You good?" Kentrell asked

"Bestie you alright?" Amelia asks

"Give me your gun please." I said as I stood up

Hawkins gave me his gun and I went upstairs to all the rooms. I looked in P's room and found a locked box under his bed. I shot the lock off and everybody came running into the room.

"What the hell you doing girl?" Herm asked

I opened the box and found some pictures and shit. But as I raveled around in the box, I found some other pictures. Some that almost made me throw up. Pictures of my father's brutally stabbed up corpse.

"What is that?" K asked

"Is that a dead body?" Amelia asks

"It's my dad." I said

"Oh God..." 3three says

"Damn. They did yo OG bad." Von said

"Just imagine being 4 and covered in his blood." I said while walking off

We went back downstairs and I started looking at the picture of the pendant then I looked at the police report from that night.

"Something's not right here. The police report says that my dad had on this pendant but now it's gone outta his belongings bag and nobody could've claimed it because my mother was supposedly dead too and I was too young. So what the hell?" I said

"What if an inside source took it and maybe sold it? This thing is very unique and there's only 5 people in the world who have it. Well since your father passed away, it's now 4." Mendez says

"What's it like some cult type symbol or sumn'?" 3three asks

"No, it's the mortal kombat symbol." Ten says

"That's where y'all both wrong. Well technically it is the Mortal Kombat symbol. But it's more than that." I said

"Okay so what is it?" Kd asked

"Who cares? He's dead and we don't know where it's at. Let's keep it that way. Why are we so worried about the life of someone who died 13 years ago anyway? This is dumb." Jessica says

"If I shoot her God, I am gonna lose my job. So can you do it for me please? Amen." Mendez says

"Jessica please be quiet. You is so disrespectful for no damn reason and you dissin' a dead man you'n even know. The man never did you nothin' now be a lil respectful and shut the fuck up." Kentrell says
