James

"What hard could it be to ask?" Dad said as we all sat around the living room, I rolled my eyes at all of them
We are heading to my grandparents for the week and they are convinced this would be something Riley would want to do
"She wouldn't want to leave her dad that long" I told them
"He can come and join us when he finishes Friday night" Dad continued to argue
"Plus I'd hate to think of Riley sitting at home all alone while we are all gone" Mum said and I sighed. She made a valid point

After finally giving in to their argument, I headed over to Riley's. Straight into her bedroom window
I think at this point, if I was to start using the door it would feel weird.
"I have a door" Riley sung not even bother to look to the window. She stood in front of her dresser taking off her jewelry signally she was settling to go bed
"I wouldn't go to bed just yetttt" I sung laying down on her bed
"And why not? You already look pretty comfy" She laughed placing her hand on her hips with a smirk on her face
"My parents have a proposition for you" I said leaning up on my arms
"And what would that be" Riley giggled making me smile
"They want you to come away with us for the week. They don't like the idea of you being here on your own. They've even offered to let your dad come when he finishes work" I said making her smile

"I can't do that to your parents James. They already include me enough" She said coming over, she attempted to sit next to me but I quickly shuffled making her fall onto my lap
"I'm pretty certain my mother won't be taking no as an answer" I whispered before kissing her cheek
She giggled at the touch before turning to face me wrapping both arms around my neck
"Plus it means you can meet the rest of the family, from what I've heard. Everyone will be there" I smiled
Honestly, I wanted to show Riley off to everyone, she's the first girl I've ever wanted to show off and I know she'll be the only one I'd want to

"Something tells me, you won't accept the answer no either" She said tapping my nose
"Oh you know me so well" i said rolling my eyes before leaning up to kiss her sending her into a giggle again

"I can't believe you're actually coming" Piper squealed seeing Riley and I cross the road the next morning. We'd be taking two cars as usual, mine would be full of the luggage while Piper, Mum and Dad go in dad's
I never really understood why we couldn't take one car. Like we have plenty of room in dad's
"I don't think I really had much of a choice" Riley teased hugging Piper
"Well I'm glad you're coming" She smiled making Riley smile

"Riley honey" mum sung coming out of the house with what I'm hoping is the last back
"Hey Deborah" Riley smiled as mum hugged her, I'm pretty sure at this point. Mum sees Riley as one of her own
"We are glad to have you join us this week" Mum smiled shaking Riley's hands slightly as she held them
"thankyou for having me" Riley replied
"No thankyou, if you didn't agree we would have had to listen to James whine the entire week" Dad said emerging from the garage
"Wow thanks dad" I replied rolling my eyes as I leant against the car
"don't even try and act like it isn't true" Dad said making Riley chuckle coming over to me

I smiled down at her flinging my arm over my shoulder pulling her in close
"He isn't wrong" I whispered into her ear making her turn to smile at me
Her smile was so contagious
I leant down kissing her before pulling away and see all three members of my family trying their best to not act like they hadn't watched. But each and every one of them had a smile on their face
